The Minnesota-Green Bay shuttle is going the other way for a change. The Packers announced the signing of former Vikings defensive tackle Letroy Guion to a contract on Monday. Multiple reports say the deal is for one year. Guion, 26, had started 28 games the past two seasons for Minnesota at nose tackle. The 6-foot-4, 303-pound Guion had 21 tackles and one sack last season. He had career-highs in 15 games started in 2012 with 31 tackles and two sacks in his first chance to be a full-time starter. The Vikings hoped Guion could become the run-stuffing nose tackle they lost after not re-signing Pat Williams in 2011. A former 2008 fifth-round draft pick, Guion never developed into the stout run-defender or penetrator Minnesota had hoped after giving him the full-time job. Guion had played in 68 games in six NFL seasons for the Vikings with 90 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles. Minnesota has signed many Green Bay players over the years, including Greg Jennings and Desmond Bishop last season. Jennings, still with the Vikings, and Bishop continued a list that has included Brett Favre, Ryan Longwell, Darren Sharper and Robert Ferguson going from the Packers to Minnesota.
