The Penalty Flag:
On Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts host the Kansas City Chiefs in a game that should help determine the 2012 Draft Order. Most importantly, it may help determine the winner of the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes. The Chiefs won their first game of the season last week while the Colts are looking to avoid falling to 0-5, something that hasn’t happened since 1997, when Peyton Manning was still a student at Tennessee. If the Colts continue to lose while other teams win the Colts will no doubt be drafting Andrew Luck. Then again, if Curtis Painter’s success is any indication the Colts will have a shot at winning games, The Colts will save their season. In just one full game against the Bucs, Curtis Painter did very well for himself and almost led the Colts to their first win of the season. Despite throwing two touchdowns it wasn’t until the end of the week when Painter was announced the starter for this game. Kerry Collins was still out with a concussion so why the Colts waited to make Painter the starter is really puzzling. Does that show lack of confidence in Painter by the front office; I mean they did hand over the job [...]

Peyton Manning stood hopelessly on the sideline as the Indianapolis Colts’ 24-7 lead began to fade away in the battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. This game, like many others, could have turned out differently if the four-time MVP was under center. But he wasn’t. It was Curtis Painter. Painter did not do too bad, [...]
Unlikely leaders There were two unlikely headlines heading into halftime of the early games Sunday: Adrian Peterson and Curtis Painter.
How could a performance by Peterson, probably the most dominant running back in the NFL, be unlikely? It was the way he did it. He was single-handedly the Vikings' offense for the first quarter, and for much of the first half. Not only did he...

The Colts remained winless Sunday, taking a 17-point lead late in the first half before losing 28-24 to Kansas City at Lucas Oil Stadium.
