Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Panthers have agreed to terms with former Giants WR Domenik Hixon. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Hixon has agreed to a one-year deal. Hixon reportedly had interest from the Lions, Browns and Raiders before signing with Carolina. He recently met with the team earlier in the week, but left with a contract. The Panthers have been in need of additional help at wide receiver for years now, so we’ll have to see if Hixon is able to step in and have an impact in the passing game. We had him listed as the No. 15 best available player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.
