Not that the woes of Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles have been flying under the radar, but now things could turn uglier as they come under the national spotlight.

The 3-7 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 2-8 Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football in scintillating Week 12 action. I’m sure this “battle of the disappointments” isn’t what the schedule-makers had in mind when they put this on the calendar last spring.
It was supposed to Cam Newton, the rookie sensation in 2011, versus the resurgent Michael Vick. The Panthers appeared...

Ever since Michael Vick went down with his concussion, I’ve been pounding the drum that Nick Foles should remain the Eagles’ starting QB for the rest of the season, regardless of how he or the team performs.
I even went so far as to say that Andy Reid would be selfish not do so.
Before all the Vick lovers come crying, this is not about him. My reasoning for starting Foles is...
Stick a fork in the Philadelphia Eagles, their season is finished. The team has given up and head coach Andy Reid looked like a defeated man at the post-game presser last night. The Eagles are a team mailing it in for the remainder of the season. Philadelphia is a team that in reality is four points from being winless this season. The Phillies have recorded a win more recently than...
The Philadelphia Eagles are in the middle of their worst season to date since 1999. With a combination of poor play and poor coaching, the Eagles find themselves at 3-7, by far the worst in the NFC East, and just about the league as well. While head coach Andy Reid will most likely go down, there is no doubt much of the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles team will go down with him. With the...
It might be time for Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to be a little less supportive of Andy Reid.
Reid’s Eagles fell to the Panthers 30-22 on Monday night, pushing Philadelphia’s record to a disappointing 3-8. More importantly, the latest hiccup could cost the Eagles head coach his job — at least that’s what conventional wisdom and a ticked off Philly fan base will tell you.
Andy can't even solve the puzzle.
Philadelphia Eagles fans seem to have reached their boiling point with their team, and in particular head coach Andy Reid. After a 3-1 start to a 2012 season that many expected to be a successful one, the Eagles have lost seven straight games. Michael Vick has been sidelined with a concussion, but he had played horribly before going down anyway. Sitting at 3-8 and poised to miss...
We’re told by Philly fans that this is what happens when you buy your football jersey in the parking lot before a game. Anyway, this guy is one day closer to no Andy Reid, no Michael Vick, and a top-5 draft pick. Carolina walked into the Linc on Monday Night Football and won, 30-22, which ties Philly with Carolina for the worst record in the NFC.
As for your...
For a quarter, it was shaping up to be every bit the Eagles misery fest that a prime time game in Philadelphia with Andy Reid on the chopping block deserved to be. The booing has been as rancorous as it has been overpowering. But that doesn’t mean it’s a blowout. That would require the Panthers to be a good team and they decidedly are not.
Both offenses posted scores with their...

Stadium: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA)
Spread: Panthers -2.5
Weather: Partly Cloudy
It was remarkably quiet at the Linc last night...almost serene. Maybe the brisk temperature (36 F.) kept Iggles fans' frustrations in check. Or maybe the folks who did show up for the game ( 70% capacity) were just being respectful. After all, they were witnessing the death of the Andy Reid era in Philly.
The only good thing about the eery funeral parlor atmosphere at the...
Something something, something something
Time was, an Eagle team that was as bad as this one would have been booed out of the stadium.
They weren't. Not even when they fell behind 14-3, with the defense giving up points in ways that redefined the term easy.
Time was, an Eagle coach that called a fourth and inches play with a slow-developing run to the running back, rather...
