The Panthers have won three straight and face a struggling Atlanta Falcons team at home this Sunday. The Carolina offense has turned things around and will be getting another boost this weekend.
The Panthers are set to activate power running back Jonathan Stewart from the physically unable to perform list and he will be active on Sunday. Stewart has missed nearly a full year since a season-ending ankle injury and offseason surgery.
Start running back DeAngelo Williams came up a little lame last Thursday night against the Bucs and didn’t return. Williams suffered a bruised thigh in that game and missed some practice this week, before returning on Friday. He’s listed as probable.
Defensive end Charles Johnson also left the game late last Thursday with a groin injury. Johnson was also able to participate in a limited capacity on Friday and is being called a probable start on Sunday.
