TEAMS: New York Jets
After the trade to send cornerback to Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally happened, Revis' representatives took one final shot at the New York Jets, labeling them as a team that “is not committed to winning,” according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. Talks between the two teams went on for what seemed like an eternity, and with the Jets playing coy throughout the process, must have had Darrelle pretty peeved at the way things went down. But in the end, he finds himself with a nice contract, one that owner Woody Johnson refused to give him. Mehta writes: 'The Jets will receive the Tampa Bay’s first-round pick in this year’s draft (No. 13 overall) and a conditional fourth- or third-round pick in 2014. The Jets will receive the Buccaneers’ third-rounder if Revis is on the Tampa Bay roster on the third day of the new league year, which is he expected to be.Revis signed a blockbuster six-year, $96 million deal ($16 million/year) with the Buccaneers – that includes no guaranteed money -- a couple hours after he arrived in Florida for a physical on Sunday afternoon, according to a source. Revis was entering the final year of a four-year, $46 million deal with the Jets before signing the new deal that runs through 2018.' Cromartie upset – Revis' fellow cornerback Antonio Cromartie is none too pleased when asked about the trade. “It sucks. That’s my reaction: It sucks,” he said. “Losing a guy like that just sucks. A leader in the locker room, a leader in the classroom, a leader on the field. A great playmaker on the field. It just sucks losing a guy like that,” adding “I’m surprised really, to tell you the truth... I’m surprised more so than anything.”

Game of Thrones author blasts the Jets

He's the one that looks like he's probably a fantasy writer.  Well, actually I think the books are called Song of Ice and Fire, but you get what I mean. Acclaimed author George R.R.
