Sportsday:
After Patrick Crayton's poor performance against Kansas City, the Cowboys acquired return specialist Allen Rossum and gave Crayton's spot in the starting lineup to Miles Austin.
Crayton expressed disappointment that he was not informed, face to face, of the demotion. But he responded with an impressive performance.
Crayton scored on a 5-yard pass from Tony Romo, which gave Dallas a 17-7 lead just before halftime. Back on punt returns after Rossum injured his hamstring on his first return, Crayton scored on a 73-yard punt return in the fourth quarter.
``You can't say enough about Crayton,'' Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. ``Patrick came through for us. I think everybody on our team knew he would. He's said all along he's going to do what it takes to help the team in any way he can and he did that.''
