If it’s one thing Patriots fans have been shouting at their radios, TV’s and computers while watching free agency coverage it’s “get some defense, Bill!” And finally Bill did just that. But not before he challenged the trust people had in his decisions. Bellicheck, who has been worshipped in New England for over ten years, finally was challenged by Patriots fans.  As soon as word broke that Wes Welker left the Patriots for the AFC Power house Denver Broncos, the “in Bill we trust” mentality went out the window. All over the internet people were fuming. Saying things insinuating the arrogance of Bellicheck and the “cheap minded” ways of owner Bob Kraft will ultimately be the demise of the successful New England Patriots. That was until they learned they had signed former St Louis Rams WR Danny Ammendola. Once the Patriots announced Ammendola was on the team there was a calm sigh of relief, almost as if Ammendola would be a good replacement, which he might ...
  • Signing Elvis D would go a long way in restoring Pats fans confidence that Belichick is finally returning to his defensive roots. In addition, it would solve several needs - such as getting a proven, marquis pass-rusher - thus taking some pressure off the weak secondary. I personally feel it would completely counter-effect the loss of Welker to a conference rival. Prying "Doom" away from the Broncos would return that favor... Another thought... why aren't the Pats looking hard at Bernard Pollard. The guy has single-handedly destroyed the Patriots with his physical play. think: Brady, Welker, Gronkowski, and Ridley. Pats need him for several reasons, too. Filling the void since Harrison left, protecting Pats players from his tackles, and shoving it back in the face of the Ravens (whom the Pats will be playing again this year)

NFL coaches (sans two) pose for class photo

At the NFL annual meeting in Phoenix, 30 of the 32 NFL head coaches got together to pose for this nice 2013 class photo. The two missing coaches?

Tom Brady and Easter Bunny: Together at last

It is no shock to see Tom Brady in the following ads by UNREAL, a candy company that produces candy without the use of  corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Brady has been a company supporter for years. In this year’s UNREAL ads, Brady along with other celebs are shown with the Easter Bunny who is heading off on his “apology tour”...

Wes Welker is a symbol of the Pats struggles

Fresh faces are heading to the New England Patriots wide receiver core as Wes Welker gets used to the thin air in Denver and Brandon Lloyd tests the cold free market. The Pats and Tom Brady will have to get used to new players like Danny Amendola, Donald Jones and Emmanuel Sanders. It’s almost comparable to the 2007 influx of wide receivers like Wes Welker, Randy Moss, Donte...

Patriots Sign Free Agent Tackle Will Svitek

The Patriots have signed offensive tackle Will Svitek to a deal, the terms of the deal are not yet known.  Svitek was a sixth round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2005 out of Stanford where he played on the defensive side of the ball, but was converted to offense when he joined the Chiefs.  Svitek was signed by the Atlanta Falcons in 2009 and spent last season on injured reserve...

Shane Vereen On Verge Of Big Year with Patriots

2013 could be a big year for Patriots running back Shane Vereen reports ESPN Boston's Field Yates.Fantasy Spin:With Danny Woodhead out of the equation (he signed a two-year deal with the Chargers on Friday), Vereen will move up to second on New England's running back depth chart. Vereen is expected to inherit Woodhead's old role as the team's passing down back. He...

Pats made 'better' offer to Welker?

Patriots owner Robert Kraft, still smarting over Wes Welker's departure to Denver, stated that the team made a better financial offer to keep the receiver.

Vote: Who Has Been the Patriots’ Best Free-Agent Signing This Offseason?

Like many NFL teams, the Patriots have been busy since free agency opened last Tuesday. Their most talked-about acquisition is surely slot receiver Danny Amendola, who was brought basically to replace Wes Welker just hours after news surfaced that Welker had signed a two-year deal with Denver. But the Pats’ moves didn’t stop there. New England soothed fans’ disappointment over...

Does Welker need Brady or does Brady need Welker?

Kraft has neat 'Tuck Rule' memento

Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he has a photo of the infamous "Tuck Rule" play signed by then-Raiders head coach Jon Gruden that reads, "It was a fumble."

Video: Tom Brady shows an Eastern Bunny how to piss off the other team

Or how to first pump. It's kind of funny that he says, "Do it right at the other team!" because that's basically what the Jets have been complaining about for years. They say Brady does that everytime they score a touchdown, taunting them. In their defense, that probably would get annoying when the Pats are scoring like six times every game. For more comedic...

Robert Kraft Believes Bill Belichick, Tom Brady Are Best Coach and Quarterback Ever

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are the winning-est coach and quarterback tandem in NFL history, so calling them the best ever wouldn’t be much too much of a stretch. And that’s just what Robert Kraft did. Kraft, who along with Belichick is out at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Ariz., this week, joined NBC Sports Pro Football Talk crew on Tuesday and let his feelings be known...

NFL Head Coaches Take Weird Group Photo, But Bill Belichick and Sean Payton Are Mysteriously Missing (Photo)

Years from now, when your grandchildren’s grandchildren dig up this odd “2013 NFL Head Coach Class Photo,” they’ll wonder where the “Gate Guys” were hiding — as in Bill Belichick of Spygate and Sean Payton of Bountygate. OK, so Patriots fans’ great-great-great grandchildren will likely know of Belichick for much more than the “S word,” but you get the point....

Patriots showing interest in Dumervil

This article originally appeared on the blog 60 Max Power O. Find more coverage here . It would be poetic justice if the New England Patriots could sway defensive end Elvis Dumervil to play in Foxboro. The Denver Broncos were able to sign longtime Patriots receiver Wes Welker with the old strategy of double dipping, getting a great receiver while hurting a conference foe. Revenge...

Pats owner blames agents for Welker’s exit

New England new england patriots owner Robert Kraft was unusually revealing Monday in lamenting receiver Wes Welker's defection to the Denver Broncos, saying the team wanted the receiver back and placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of Welker's agents.,
