Before we get too crazy, NFL.com's Marc Sessler made it very clear that there is a difference between 'interest' and actually making moves to acquire a player. Anyways, an NFL source recently said that the Patriots "have some interest" in the top free-agent WR Mike Wallace. Sam Reilly wrote a convincing argument as to why the Patriots need a guy like Wallace. With his top-notch speed, he can finally be the vertical threat that the team has been desperate for since they shipped Randy Moss out of town. If Wes Welker is not a Patriot Next Year, Both Sides Lose

Contract negotiations between Wes Welker and the New England Patriots have gone to opposite sides of the spectrum and everywhere in between in a matter of days. I have ridden the Welker Contract Roller Coaster now for two offseasons in a row, and I have spent hours wondering about his future. I live and think like someone living in the modern Western world, so I think in terms of...

Peter King: “Widely believed” Wes Welker will re-sign with the Patriots

According to Peter King of SI.com, it’s “widely believed” that wide receiver Wes Welker will re-sign with the New England Patriots. Welker simply isn’t going to get the kind of money that he’s looking for on the open market.  There’s also no guarantee that he’ll be very effective with another NFL offense.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function()...

NFL Mock Draft (TOP TEN PICKS)

Free Agency is tricky because it can drastically change team’s draft plans. A team that wants to draft a top wide receiver in the first round could sign Mike Wallace or Wes Welker and as a result, their draft plans must change. Speaking of the draft, it’s tough to predict how the draft will turn out because nobody really knows what will happen on draft day thanks to trades and...

Bring in Danario!

Yesterday it was reported that the Patriots have shown some interest in the biggest free agent on the market: speedster Mike Wallace. Even though the team is in clear need of a outside receiver given the fact it looks like Brandon Lloyd is unlikely to return, I was a bit surprised to hear the Patriots were thinking about Wallace. Danario Alexander became Philip Rivers favorite...
