The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a much needed bye week, while the Patriots are looking to keep the ball rolling.  The Cowboys are a game removed from an epic collapse against the Detroit Lions in which they blew a 27-3 lead in the second half.  Tony Romo tossed three interceptions, two of which went for touchdowns.  The Cowboys, however, will be getting one of their main weapons back, as Austin Miles is expected to return to the starting lineup.

The Patriots on the other hand are looking to roll along with their, now more balanced offense.  The Patriots, for the first time in a long time, have added a running game to their arsenal to go along with the best passing attack in the league.  Runningback BenJarvus Green-Ellis looks to imitate his 136 yard, two touchdown performance against the New York Jets last week.  It should be business as usual for Tom Brady and Wes Welker, as they lead the league’s number one ranked passing offense.  Welker, who we touched on earlier in the week about being in MVP talks, is almost a lock to go over 100 yards, even against the Cowboys strong defense.

Despite the Cowboys and defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan, having the number one rush defense in the league, I still like Green-Ellis to have a solid game.  If the running game is anything like we saw the past two weeks, Brady will have no problem opening and working on the defensive backs to help out this run game even more.  I don’t think this strong Dallas defense can hang with this high powered Patriots squad.

The roller coaster ride that is, Tony Romo, looks to rebound and needs to have one of his best games of the season.  Romo is now being titled the most inconsistent player in the league.  A few weeks back, Romo went down with a lung and rib injury against the San Francisco 49ers.  Despite the injury, he returned to the game and led his team to an overtime victory.  Thoughts were high on Romo, but than he went out and performed how did, against the Lions.  The Patriots first couple of weeks on defense, were some of the worst in the league but even with injuries, the Patriots made huge improvements.  The secondary is starting to look like the group last year that produced two pro bowlers. Upfront, the Patriots are hoping to finally get some life out of Albert Haynesworth, who has been a disappointment thus far.  Vince Wilfork and Shaun Ellis look to continue causing problems for opposing running backs.

I believe the Patriots are too strong for the Cowboys, despite the weapons they have on offense.  Brady and Welker have too good of chemistry for any secondary, including the New York Jets and their second ranked group.  Welker has had only one game under 100 yards this year, and shows no signs of slowing down.  Look for Welker and the two hybrid tight ends, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez to become trouble for the Cowboys secondary.
