Patriots legend Tom Brady makes hilarious comment on controversial Deflategate scandal
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady's entire life was put on blast on Sunday night during Netflix's live event, “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.” And it was expected that some of the scandals he was involved in during his playing career would come up.

However, even Brady had some fun with one of his most controversial moments in the NFL: Deflategate.

The former New England Patriots quarterback began by talking about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, saying that he was not one of the many familiar faces in the audience at Kia Forum in Los Angeles. And naturally, that led into a comment on Deflategate.

“Remember Deflategate? The NFL spent $20 million and found that it was more ‘probable’ than not, that I was ‘generally’ aware that someone may have deflated my footballs,” Brady said on the Netflix special. “You could’ve just given me the 20 million and I would’ve just told you I (expletive) did it.”

At least he can joke about it now.

However, many people thought that this might be him confessing to it. But what needs to be remembered is this entire thing wasn't serious. His comment was about all the wasted resources and money that was used on this, only to find that it was "probable" that Brady knew it happened.

The Deflategate scandal led to Brady being suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season, along with the Patriots being fined $1 million and having to forfeit two draft picks.
