New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is no stranger to the harsh weather conditions that can be found in the Northeast in January. He is also no stranger to donning some pretty crazy outfits in the team’s locker room on other occasions. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then that after Ridley looked out the window on Wednesday morning and saw that Old Man Winter had unleashed a bit of his fury upon the Greater Boston Area, he elected to do the right thing and dress appropriately. Egad. Let’s clarify that: Ridley dressed appropriately for the weather, but as far as retaining any dignity or respect as it pertains to any semblance of fashion sense, what Ridley donned on Wednesday might have knocked him down a notch or two among any fashionistos — Tom Brady, for instance — who populate the Patriots locker room. Justifying the bizarre getup by saying, “It’s Boston, man,” Ridley referred to the rainbow moon boots and deep blue onesie jumpsuit thingamajobber as follows: “This is my stay-warm outfit.” Stay-warm outfit? Absolutely. Stay-cool outfit, on the other hand? Don’t think so. And whatever that thing he’s wearing as a backpack isn’t even being taken into consideration at this point.
