According to the Boston Globe, the New England Patriots are still looking to trade quarterback Ryan Mallett.
Multiple teams have called the Patriots this week about a potential trade for backup quarterback Ryan Mallett, according to three league sources.
The belief is that the odds are that Mallett gets traded.
Whether the Patriots will trade the 2011 third-round pick is the question. But all three sources said the odds are slightly stronger that Mallett is dealt than kept by the Patriots.
The Patriots have been heavily scouting quarterbacks in the leadup to the draft, and could very well select one during the draft.
New England is still looking for more than a 3rd round pick.
The Patriots would like more than a third-round pick after developing Mallett for two years. It’s likely a second this season or a first in ’14 would close the deal.
With this draft not having any quarterbacks that really stand out, I think there’s a good chance a team may want to roll the dice and trade for Mallett. The big question is, will anyone be willing to give up a second round pick for an unproven quarterback.

TThe Patriots have been one of the busier teams in the NFL during the 2013 free agency period, but they’re far from done. Today’s draft will be another opportunity for the Patriots to improve prior to the 2013 season. Unfortunately, the Patriots find themselves in a unique position for this year’s draft. Usually stocked with draft picks, the Patriots moves over the past couple...

The New England Patriots drafted Travis Frederick, a center out of Wisconsin with the 31st overall selection in the 2013 NFL draft. There wasn't much Patriots news yesterday, as the team did not end up making a pick in the first round. A lot of Patriots fans weren't happy to hear that, but that's not to say there wasn't any good news on the Patriots front yesterday.

Dobson was one of the highest ranked Wide Receiver prospects, and the Patriots now get their guy to replace Brandon Lloyd
He is a bigger receiver to maybe finally give Tom Brady someone to throw the ball up to on the outside. Dobson is 6-3 and from Marshall. Remind you of anyone? (Randy Moss was 6-4 out of Marshall). He is also known for having great hands.

Muschamp responded by asking "is genealogy a word?"
