The Rap Sheet:
After just a day of contemplation, the Chiefs are in the rear-view mirror. As they should be. The Patriots are on to the Eagles, who they play in Philly on Sunday.
While I gear up for cheesesteaks, the Patriots coaches gear up for the various facets of the Eagles. That includes the question of whether QB Michael Vick will play.
Want some highlights of their thoughts?
Coach Bill Belichick on the Eagles in general: “The Eagles are an outstanding team. Well coached, they’re obviously mentally tough – they’ve hung in through a lot of tough situations. They’re a talented team in all three phases of the game; they’re very explosive. They’ve done everything well: run the ball, thrown the ball, defend the run, rush the passer, turned it over, kick returns. We have a lot to get ready for here, a team we haven’t played in awhile. We’ve seen them in preseason but it’s not quite the same. (We) have to get it turned around in a short week and get ready for a good football team that does a lot...

The only QB controversy in Philadelphia is in the minds of some Eagles fans who think Vince Young should be the starter going forward. To the rest of the sane world, there is no controversy.
Michael Vick will be the starter again once healthy enough to play, period.
First of all, here’s a quote from head coach Andy Reid when asked if Vick will be the starter again once healthy...
Are we really talking about this again? After Tom Brady had the gall to hand a football to Shane Vereen (a guaranteed Hall of Famer who has built a Walter Payton-esque career of overpowering linebackers and scoring dozens of touchdowns per season), the conversation in the football world quickly turned to Bill Belichick, the evil hoodie-wearer who runs up the score on opponents and...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver DeSean Jackson were among those who missed Wednesday's practice, while wideout Jeremy Maclin participated in the session.Vick is dealing with two injured ribs. He threw on the side Tuesday and was expected to do the same Wednesday, though his availability for this weekend's game against the Patriots remains in...
Their is nothing this city loves more than a good quarterback controversy, which is exactly what seems to be coming down the road after Vince Young led the Eagles to a game winning touchdown drive in last nights 17-10 victory over the New York Giants.
Not so fast, says Andy Reid.
Reid reassured the media today that when Michael Vick returns from his rib injury he will be this teams...
Lost in the Eagles’ unexpected win over the Giants on Sunday night is that quarterback Mike Vick didn’t play, due to a pair of broken ribs. With the Patriots coming to town on Sunday, the Eagles need all their best players back. It’s unknown whether Vick will indeed be able to play, but a league…
Michael Vick is not practicing Wednesday because of broken ribs, and it's uncertain whether the Pro Bowl quarterback will play when the Philadelphia Eagles host New England on Sunday.
No Michael Vick, no problem. Vince Young led the Philadelphia Eagles to an NFC East win over the Giants on Sunday night that included an incredible fourth-quarter touchdown drive that lasted more than 11 minutes. DeSean Jackson also had a good evening, catching six passes for 88 yards. After one of those grabs, he was [...]
