I’m starting to think Torry Holt will be as entertaining with microphones in front of him as he has been on the field for 11 seasons. Not because he’s one of those guys who says crazy stuff… but because you just want to keep talking to him.
That was the case today after the Patriots OTAs, when Holt (right, throwing) began answering questions and didn’t stop until the time ran out. And it’s easy to see why younger players listen to him, though the Super Bowl ring and 920 career catches doesn’t hurt.
What I thought was the best line came when Holt was asked to describe his style.
“Smooth,” he said with a smile. “Flat-out, smooth. Good hands. Everything comes with smooth. Good hands, good feet, student, etc, etc. just call me smooth.”
