The Patriots signed a two year deal with defensive tackle Marcus Stroud today, according to sources. Stroud played eight years with the Jacksonville Jaguars before spending the previous three seasons in Buffalo. He's a three time pro-bowler, all with Jacksonville, but struggled to make the transition from tackle to end in Buffalo's 3-4 defensive scheme, which the Patriots also run quite often. Stroud had 49 tackles in 2010, which was his highest total since 2007.THE BACKYARD
