Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman regularly defend Tony Romo, making it seem like there's a brotherhood among those that have quarterbacked the Dallas Cowboys. But the wide receiver position doesn't share that same brotherhood when it comes to Drew Pearson and Dez Bryant. Pearson had been critical of Bryant throughout his first two years with the Cowboys, and Year Three looks to be more of the same. This obviously stems from Bryant wearing the same jersey number that Pearson did during his 11 seasons with the franchise. "He's not living up to the expectations that were placed on him by wearing that number," Pearson recently told the Midland Reporter-Telegram. "Drew Pearson took it to the Ring of Honor level and Michael Irvin took it way beyond that to the Hall of Fame level. "When Michael and I had a chance to talk to Dez when he came in his rookie year we told him, 'Don't do what Drew Pearson did in it. Don't do what Michael did in it. D...

What Tony Romo sees compared to what other NFL QB’s see

Thanks to @_Happy_Gilmore we got a picture of what Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo see’s on the field compared to what a typical NFL quarterback see’s. Check out the picture below.

Drew Pearson: Dez Bryant is not living up to the expectations of the No. 88

Former Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson is never shy about his general dislike for Dez Bryant. Although Bryant is only in his third NFL season, Pearson rips him like he’s a draft bust who has no chance of turning it around. Last Season, the Dallas legend blasted Dez for not finishing games. Earlier this week, he basically said Bryant hasn’t earned the right to wear the No....

Dallas Cowboys: Tony Romo Needs To Go After 2012 Season

With a contract extension looming Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo tossed five interceptions in a deflating 34-18 home defeat against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. Bears fans know all too well how easy it is for a franchise quarterback to have a turnover plagued game in which almost everything seems to go wrong. However after six years in the starting saddle should...

NFL 2012-13 season quarter report

In this blog, I will not be discussing all 32 teams and their situations. What will be discussed are several general observations that I have made over the course of the first four games. I will talk about specific players and teams, but I won't cover every one. I will even talk about how the press, especially ESPN, has handled certain matters.

Patriots fans should step back and appreciate Tom Brady

After watching Tony Romo's 5 interception performance and Jay Cutler walking away from his offensive coordinator like a teenager ignoring his mommy, it made me think about how lucky the Patriots have been to have a quarterback like Tom Brady. The point was really hammered home on my ride to work when one of the Boston radio shows was talking about Brady and how he has changed...

Chicago Bears at Jacksonville Jaguars: Three Bold Predictions

The Chicago Bears flexed their muscle, put the D in defense and dominated Big D (try saying that fast three times). The Bears proved on Monday night that their defense is here to stay and served notices to all offenses in the NFL. They forced Tony Romo into throwing five interceptions and held explosive running back DeMarco Murray to only 24 yards rushing.  To be blunt, Jacksonville...

Is Connor Shaw a better QB than either Tony Romo and Jay Cutler?

Connor Shaw > Tony Romo & Jay Cutler? South Carolina starting quarterback Connor Shaw has become "an accidental star quarterback," as described by The Charleston Post and Courier's Gene Sapkoff. Since taking over the starting QB role following Stephen Garcia's rather messy departure from the Gamecock program, Shaw has lead the team to a 12-1 record...

Depth Chart Digging: Week Five

Go Binns drinkingPhoto Credit: Navin75 And Booooooom goes the dynamite! That wasn't the sound of Tony Romo coming back to earth, but instead the sudden outburst of fantasy points. They were plentiful this weekend. Garbage touchdowns galore (Brandon Lloyd and Dwayne Bowe) and points through the air we have been waiting for all season. The presence of Ed Hochuli's massively...

Zeoli Says Hide Yo' Kids Hide Yo' Wife Da Bears Are Coming to Jacksonville

The Chicago Bears are going to obliterate the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.  I expect the destruction to be so thorough, so complete, that the Jaguars will begin moving their corporate offices to Los Angeles midway through the 3rd quarter.  The Jaguars are the Atlanta Thrashers of the NFL.  Here today, gone tomorrow.  And no one will miss them. Don’t even bother scouring...
