Peppers!

Since I started using twitter, all my random Bears thoughts have been collected there. But with Julius Peppers signing, thought I'd dust off the old blog. I love the Bears' signing of Peppers. A good pass rush makes everyone else on D look better. Overpay? Absolutely. But you have to overpay or you don't get him. They may well have improved their D ranking from 27th overall to 17th overall just by the one single move. Throw in a healthy Urlacher and an overachieving Safety and they might be up to 10th or 12th. I like the Chester Taylor signing a lot. They needed another runningback bad, as Peterson/Wolfe/Jones all stunk and Forte's sophomore campaign suggested he may not be all that great. In fact, I know he's not great. He's a good player, but maybe only top 15-20 in the NFL at best. Taylor's probably the best available guy, and possibly even better than Forte. At $7 mil guaranteed - not a bad of a signing at all.
