Adrian Peterson isn't about to let up after his awe-inspiring season for the Minnesota Vikings. After rushing for 2,097 yards and nearly breaking the NFL record just one year after reconstructive surgery on his left knee, Peterson is planning on a similarly intense offseason regimen. Peterson said Monday as the Vikings cleared out their lockers that he wants to get as many teammates as he can to join him for his workouts. The Vikings lost in Green Bay to the Packers in the NFC playoffs on Saturday to finish 10-7, a seven-win improvement from last year. Peterson said he'll take some time to rest his body, but not much. He said his rehabilitation program showed him the benefit of starting preseason training early.

Packers stand up to Peterson -- finally

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers were confident they were going to stop Adrian Peterson in Saturday's playoff rematch with the Minnesota Vikings. Based on the results of the two regular-season games against the NFL's best running back, that seemed like a long shot. But, with improved tackling and better gap control, the Packers held Peterson who had 409 rushing yards combined...

Minneapolis reporter tackled by own cameraman on live TV (Video)

Minneapolis television reporter Lee Valsvik was on location at a local restaurant for a live TV segment to get fans ready for Saturday night's Minnesota Vikings playoff game against the rival Green Bay packers. Beforehand, someone thought it would be a good idea to have Valsvik's cameraman behind her carrying a football and run straight past Valsvik towards the camera. ...

Adrian Peterson calls teen with cancer after Twitter campaign

We give a big helmet knock to the Minnesota Vikings Adrian Peterson for responding to a Twitter campaign that requested him to call a big fan of his who is currently battling cancer. Blake Cognata, a 17-year-old, was diagnosed with a Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. It has led to him having to quit playing lacrosse and football for his high school team. Blake has been in...

Peterson: Season incomplete despite records

GREEN BAY, Wis. With swarms of reporters around him following Saturday night's playoff loss in Green Bay, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had trouble assessing a season in which he amazed everyone in his return from knee surgery, chased the single-season rushing record and led Minnesota to the playoffs in what was largely expected a rebuilding year for the team...

Adrian Peterson Reaches Out To A Cancer Patient

Michael Vick: Peterson the ‘hands down’ MVP

OK, so maybe not all quarterbacks stick together. A day after Aaron Rodgers weighed in with his MVP vote, Michael Vick took to Twitter to do the same, opting to go with the "hands down" choice. That would be the man eying a 2,500-yard campaign and spot in the Olympics: Adrian Peterson. It's worth noting that...

Football-Carrying Cameraman Channels Inner Adrian Peterson, Runs Over Female TV Reporter (Video)

Lee Valsvik probably didn’t expect to have to make any open field tackles when she arrived on the scene at a local Minnesota restaurant. Looking back, though, perhaps she should have slapped on a pair of shoulder pads. Valsvik, reporting for a local NBA affiliate, interviewed the executive chef of Union Restaurant in Minneapolis prior to Saturday’s Vikings-Packers playoff game...

Vikings fans will have to wait until the night before the Super Bowl to find out if Adrian Peterson is named the NFL MVP or awarded any of the other annual honors.

Vikings Playoff loss proves unimportance of the RB in the NFL

The Minnesota Vikings were soundly defeated by the Green Bay Packers 10-24 and the biggest truth the game proved is the continued decline of the value of franchise running backs in the NFL. Adrian Peterson was the biggest story going into the game, because he was only 9 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single season record with 2,097 yards after coming back from major knee...

Aaron Rodgers Reminds Us Why He is More Valuable than Adrian Peterson.

It it a phrase that I’m sure you’ve heard many times before, but the National Football League is a quarterback league, which is why the Green Bay Packers are advancing in the NFC Playoffs and the Minnesota Vikinga are on their way home. In the rubber match between two old school NFC North rivals, Rodgers and the Packers proved once and for all to be too much for the Vikings,...

Clay Matthews, Defense Stuff Adrian Peterson, Vikings in Playoff Win

The Green Bay Packers, with Charles Woodson back for the first time in nine games, bottled up Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings offense without starting quarterback Christian Ponder, for a 24-10 playoff victory Saturday. Green Bay had given up 210 and 199 yards in each of the last two meetings with the Vikings and Peterson, but held him to just 99 yards this Saturday and...

Packers' Harris nearly matches Peterson

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers first-year running back DuJuan Harris claims he doesn't care about statistics. If he did care, Harris would like the way the box score looked for him after Green Bay's 24-10 playoff win Saturday night over the Minnesota Vikings. Harris finished with 100 total yards, running for 47 yards and catching five passes for 53 yards. That was only seven...
