Although the Redskins missed out on landing Peyton Manning this offseason, head coach Mike Shanahan did extend one offer that the new Broncos quarterback couldn't refuse.
The Associated Press reports Manning will be living in Shanahan's 35,000-square-foot mansion located in Cherry Hills Village, one of Denver's ritziest neighborhoods.
The home, which was completed in 2009 and comes equipped with an elevator, a bowling alley and a 3,603-square-foot garage, is just a temporary accommodation for Manning until he can find a permanent place of residence.
Shanahan purchased the posh digs during a time when he was thought to be the Broncos' "coach for life." After all, he did help bring two Super Bowl titles to the city, so who could blame him for wanting to live a little lavishly. Despite the success, however, Shanahan was unceremoniously fired following the 2008 season and took some time away from the game.
