On Tuesday, the Denver Broncos officially agreed to terms with the star of the 2012 NFL Free Agency frenzy, Peyton Manning.
The next day Tim Tebow was traded to the Big Apple. Finally, on Thursday evening, it was reported by ESPN’s Adam Shefter that Manning’s nemesis in cornerback Tracy Porter had agreed to terms to join the Mile High.
“Nemesis,” you ask? To reiterate PFT’s Mike Florio, Porter’s interception return for a touchdown sealed the 31-17 victory for the New Orleans Saints over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLVI.
Albeit the blame for the pick-six was largely directed towards wide receiver Reggie Wayne, the ex-Saints cornerback attributed the play to “great film study” at the end of the game.
This was however an indirect method of putting the blame on the player(s) responsible for ensuring that there were no obvious tendencies in the game film, which was a backhanded slap at Manning, the Colts’ former on-field offensive coordinator
