On Tuesday, the Denver Broncos officially agreed to terms with the star of the 2012 NFL Free Agency frenzy, Peyton Manning.
The next day Tim Tebow was traded to the Big Apple. Finally, on Thursday evening, it was reported by ESPN’s Adam Shefter that Manning’s nemesis in cornerback Tracy Porter had agreed to terms to join the Mile High.
“Nemesis,” you ask? To reiterate PFT’s Mike Florio, Porter’s interception return for a touchdown sealed the 31-17 victory for the New Orleans Saints over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLVI.
Albeit the blame for the pick-six was largely directed towards wide receiver Reggie Wayne, the ex-Saints cornerback attributed the play to “great film study” at the end of the game.
This was however an indirect method of putting the blame on the player(s) responsible for ensuring that there were no obvious tendencies in the game film, which was a backhanded slap at Manning, the Colts’ former on-field offensive coordinator.
BEST OF MAXIM
Peyton Manning has departed the Circle City for Mile High environs. Apparently Manning-related merchandise is also scarce around town:
"We've sold more in the last two days than in the last three months. He's just been wildly popular," Tom Gebauer, manager of the Collectors Den store in Circle Centre mall, said Tuesday.
Gebauer said the three Collectors Den stores...

Tebow-Mania has come to an end now that future 1st ballot Hall of Famer Peyton Manning has agreed to join John Elway’s Denver Broncos.
From a football standpoint this was a questionable move for Manning who spurned two teams that are much better in San Francisco and Tennessee.
With that said Manning is heading to a winnable division and is joining a team that will allow him to...

Unless you were living in a van down by the river, you probably already know that Peyton Manning has signed with the Denver Broncos. The move will displace Tim Tebow as the starting QB in the Mile High City. We know that Broncos President John Elway said in his Edward G. Robinson voice, “Where’s your Messiah Now, Tebow!” Holding up his golden calf in...
The two big QB’s in the 2012 NFL Draft put on quite a show over the last two days for NFL scouts. Robert Griffin III had his pro day yesterday and showed off his arm and mobility in front of a packed house at Baylor. Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan were on site for the workout and they liked what they saw. The Redskins made the...

Peyton Manning is a Bronco.
I am not surprised by this. I predicted it the minute it was announced that Jim Irsay was going to cut him loose. For five years and $96 million, I would be a Bronco too. Actually, I would have signed for $95 million, but Manning said it wasn’t the money.
So the next question is, what happens to Tim Tebow during this off-season of quarterbacks.
After working out at the University of South Florida with former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden for his ESPN show, Gruden’s quarterback Camp, quarterback Robert Griffin III indicated that he’s not ready to say that Andrew Luck will be the first overall pick in April’s draft.
“If you say you don’t want to be picked No. 1, that means you’re not a competitor...
