PLAYERS: Andy Reid
TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting right near the bottom of the NFC East at 3-6. Thankfully, they're not lonely as the Redskins are technically in last place also at 3-6.While most people have already ruled the Eagles and Redskins out of the playoffs, it's still mathematically possible they can get in, and you know head coaches Andy Reid and Mike Shanahan are shoving that bit of knowledge down their players' throats. That's why this game is a must win for the Eagles. There's still a chance the Eagles get in the playoffs. There's still a chance Andy Reid keeps his job. There's still a chance; but it won't be easy.Expect the Eagles to play harder than they have all year, for their coach, and their jobs. Even if they have a rookie quarterback starting his first game leading the team.

Reid's Eagles lose 6th in row, 31-6 to Redskins

The question put to Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid after his team's sixth consecutive loss was rather pointed: Does he expect to stay in his job until the end of the season? The answer was evasive, yet telling, because basically all Reid offered was something about ''got to get ready'' for Philadelphia's next game. Yes, the turnovers and the penalties...

One more loss makes Andy Reid expendable, or does it?

If the 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins not enough to seal the fate of Andy Reid, then I don’t know what is. It should be one more loss. “You know, my expectations, I’ve said it before and I said it after last season [that] I expect a substantially improved team,” Eagles’ owner Jeff Lurie said. “We all thought we were better than 8-8 but we weren’t because your...

Coaching cold seat: Why it might not be so easy to fire Andy Reid, Norv Turner et. al

As fans of our respective teams and a community of football fans and analysts we are quick to talk about which coaches are on the ‘hot seat’; who is likely to lose their job and what we’d do if we held the keys to a franchise without considering the actual ramifications of making that decision. …

Andy Reid: Michael Vick thinks he let the team down, but he didn’t

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters that Michael Vick thinks he let the team down after being ruled out this week with a concussion (Credit: AP Photo) Last week, as the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Dallas Cowboys, quarterback Michael Vick was knocked out of the game after a hard hit gave him a severe concussion. After a few weeks of fans calling for a change, the team was forced...

Andy Reid: Vick feels like he let the team down

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is still experiencing symptoms from last week’s concussion, including fogginess, headaches, fatigue and heavy eyes. He’s obviously out for Sunday’s game and Nick Foles will start in his place. Vick has been advised to spend the weekend in the dark. No video, no noise and no exercising. While he’s out of commission, Vick can’t...

Eagles' sad slide continues to grow

Quarterback Nick Foles has become the latest failure for Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid and his embattled team management. Harsh? Sure. But the same can be said for the entire 2012 Eagles season. Foles is a rookie whose first NFL start came in Sunday's 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins only because turnover-prone Michael Vick was sidelined with a concussion. But Foles...

Michael Vick Can’t Drive, Is Sensitive to Light, Nauseous, Can’t Sleep Due to Concussion

Apparently Andy Reid was telling the truth when he said that Michael Vick’s concussion was significant. The Eagles’ quarterback is experiencing some pretty shocking side effects from his latest concussion. Vick “still can’t drive a car due to balance issues, sleeps all day, can’t sleep at night” and he is “lethargic, nauseous, can’t sit in meetings and sensitive...

Michael Vick still suffering from concussion symptoms

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is still suffering from concussion symptoms almost a week after he initially sustained the injury in Dallas, according to Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Vick said he still has headaches, fatigue, heavy eyes and fogginess.  He will spend the week in a quiet, dark area and won't be able to exercise or watch any video. ...

Vick and Reid’s future rests on Nick Foles arm

Will Nick Foles be able to perform with the weight of the Eagles franchise on his back? Michael Vick is still feeling the effects of a substantial concussion, and will not be ready for Sunday, and may not be ready to play for quite some time. That leaves the Philadelphia Eagles at 3-6 with their rookie QB Nick Foles set to take over the reins. I’m sure Foles will try to say something...

Eagles - Redskins Takeaways

Like You Wanted Another Reid Pic > Given the severity of Michael Vick's concussion, I really am hopeful that he just retires, rather than go to some other hopeless franchise> Coach For Way Too Much Of The Rest Of Your Life Andy Reid came out with, shockingly, a pass that wasn't well-blocked for rookie QB Nick Foles> If your reaction to TE Brent Celek's drop...

A.J. Green Is Good At Awesome Touchdown Catches

Pretty handy skill to have. At this point, Green is getting into Calvin Johnson territory. Not only because he’s one of the best receivers in football, but because he continues to thrive even as his team doesn’t have much of an answer for who to put make the other receiver to take advantage of the coverage that has to focus on the primary weapon. Meanwhile, Chiefs fans would...
