Is Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid as bad as you think he is when it comes to the NFL draft?  Since many fans think he, how can I put it…”stinks” in this regard, I decided to look at each of his 13 drafts and compare his results to another long-tenured, successful and respected head coach: Bill Belichick. Belichick took over in New England in 2000, only one year after Reid became the head man in Philly.  The reason I chose Belichick to compare Reid to in terms of drafting prowess is simple: he’s the only other coach in the league right now who’s been with his team just about as long as Reid has. Plus, Belichick has been the most successful coach over the past 12 years.  He’s made five Super Bowl appearances and won three as compared to Reid’s five NFC Championship games with one Super Bowl appearance and no victories. Furthermore, aside from the whole “spygate” scandal, Belichick is one of the most respected football minds in the league.  Surely, a coach with such a keen fo...

Philadelphia Eagles Release 2012 Preseason Schedule

Today, the Eagles released their preseason schedule taking on most of the AFC North, with the exception of the New England Patriots. Where do Eagles rank in 2-Minute Drill?...

It's not a real popular subject, because a "two minute drill" implies the Eagles are behind at the end of a game...I bring this up not so much because of a need to change the pace of the hideous media spin on the NFL right now because of the Greg Williams bounty tapes, but rather to highlight how close we are to the OTA's of a new season...The OTA's will be...

DeMeco Needs Talent To Make This Thing Work

With all the buzz going around the Eagles organization about addressing the offensive tackle position, either in draft or in free agency, lets not get side tracked here, the Eagles still need someone at the outside linebacker position to help DeMeco, and make some noise on this defense. Why Mike Florio causes me shame as an Eagles fan...

I used to be one of Mike Florio's biggest fans. Back in 2001 when he was just starting Pro Football Talk.com, he seemed dedicated to the truth and was edgy and compelling... Nobody seemed more devoted to bringing us the underbelly of the back-story about the NFL and the Eagles. It was revolutionary sports reporting. Now, it has seemingly degenerated into a "reality show...
