Early Wednesday morning, the Philadelphia Eagles pulled the trigger on yet another defensive back. This time, the team signed former Seattle Seahawk Chris Maragos to a three-year deal that includes $1 million in guaranteed money. Maragos deal, per source: Slightly more than $4M over 3 years, $1M guaranteed. Can max out at $5.3M — Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherCSN) March 12, 2014 Signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2010 out of Wisconsin, Maragos has been primarily a special teams player his entire career. He’s only made 25 tackles over four seasons, yet has been a constant and recognized contributor on the special teams. The Eagles had three safeties hit free agency yesterday — Nate Allen, Kurt Coleman and Colt Anderson. While the jury is still out on Allen’s return, the addition of Maragos basically seals the fate of the latter two, presumably Coleman.
