When the season started 17 weeks ago, Eagles fans saw this game as a potential meaningless match-up. However, it was thought that this game would be meaningless because the Eagles would have already clinched the division. Unfortunately, win or lose, this will be the final game for the Philadelphia Eagles this season.

Eagles Offense vs. Redskins Defense:

The Eagles first team offense will in fact take the field on Sunday. If they play like they did the previous three weeks, the Redskins defense will be in big trouble.

This may be the last time we see DeSean Jackson in an Eagles uniform, so keep an eye out for Jason Avant and Riley Cooper, who may have to fill the void next year along with Jeremy Maclin. In my opinion, the Eagles must retain Jackson if they want their offense to remain effective. My suggestion would be to slap the franchise tag on him; this would appease Jackson and keep his loudmouth agent (Drew Rosenhaus) quiet.

LeSean McCoy will look to wrap up what has been a fantastic season. Hopefully the offensive line can continue to show progress by opening up gaping holes for him.

Edge: Eagles

Eagles Defense vs. Redskins Offense:

Could it be that the Eagles actually have an advantage defensively going into a game? It could be. Rex Grossman and the Redskins offense have been extremely inconsistent down the stretch.

Tailback Evan Royster has shown progress over the past two weeks, so look for him to carry the load for the Redskins run game.

If the Redskins offense plays like it did against the Patriots and Giants, they will have the edge. If not, the Eagles will have the edge.

Edge: Even

Prediction: Eagles 23 Redskins 16

The Eagles will end the season on a four game winning streak. Many say this doesn’t matter, but I truly believe that winning the final four games can be a springboard into the offseason workouts.
