OTAs, training camp, preseason, and final cuts are all behind the Philadelphia Eagles today. The final cuts did include some surprises. Mike Kafka lost his job due to stellar play by both Nick Foles and Trent Edwards. Joselio Hanson was released, an apparent sign from the Eagles front office that they are trusting the young cornerbacks already on the team. This game should not challenge the Eagles too much, but this is the NFL and a road game. It will be interesting to see how Michael Vick's rib injury affects him during the game. Will he protect himself and slide? That question will come up this season as the ...

The Philadelphia Eagles whittled down their roster yesterday to reach the 53-man limit. There were maybe a few mild surprises, but nothing that could be labeled as a shocker.
The biggest move that everyone was waiting for was the decision on the third quarterback. Prior to the cuts, I had thought that Trent Edwards played well enough to earn the spot...
Michael Vick was obviously on the team, so was 3rd round pick Nick Foles, even if he hadn’t stepped up in Mike Kafka’s absence and nailed down the #2 quarterback job, despite the team viewing him as a developmental 3rd quarterback at the start of the offseason. Kafka went from primary backup to injured to 3rd string and when he returned, he found that Trent Edwards...

The 2012 Eagles will begin their road to the Super Bowl against the Cleveland Browns with expectations high. Will Michael Vick remain healthy? Can LeSean McCoy duplicate his success from last season? With his new big contract will DeSean Jackson play to his potential? These player questions along with the uncertain Eagles defense under...
The Philadelphia Eagles went undefeated in the preseason. A turnaround from last year’s disaster should be in the cards.
But they now have 10 rookies on their 53-man roster and questions at offensive left tackle, slot cornerback and safety. While the linebacking corps has been upgraded, weaknesses were still exposed during the preseason.
The durability of Michael Vick remains...
The Eagles, like the rest of the NFL trimmed their roster to 53 players yesterday. There weren’t too many surprises, but a couple of names have been around town for a while and will now be looking for new homes. Another player found a new home in Philly.
Mike Kafka, who was named the #2 QB on the team at the start of OTAs lost his job. Nick Foles, the rookie out of Arizona won...

The Raiders continued to address their secondary by signing cornerback Joselio Hanson to a contract, today. Hanson had visited with the team yesterday. The team is likely to use Hanson as a slot corner with him working as the third corner behind Ron Bartell & Shawntae Spencer. Hanson used used as a slot corner in Philadelphia & was successful in that role. His release...
As we all sit and enjoy the coronation of the NBA’s next generational star, one cannot help but wonder what sports icon needs to learn from the King James experience. LeBron James needed to win a championship more than he wanted to win a championship, the same can be said about Philadelphia Eagles‘ quarterback, Michael Vick.
Much like James, Vick had the King Midas touch and...
