For the second week in a row, Michael Vick led the Philadelphia Eagles on a game-winning touchdown drive late in the 4th quarter.
The Eagles defeated the Ravens in exciting fashion, 24-23, and are now 2-0 for only the second time during the Andy Reid era. The last time they started out 2-0 was in 2004, enroute to the Super Bowl.
This game against the Ravens was almost like a street fight as several skirmishes broke out during the game. If I didnât know any better, I would have thought this was a divisional game.
Maybe weâve found ourselves a new rivalry about 90 minutes south of Philadelphia. Unfortunately, we only get to play them once every four years in games that matterâŚunless they meet in the Super Bowl.
Anyway, on to the WTF and WTG awardsâŚ
If you didnât catch them last week, my WTF and WTG awards are basically plays, players, or anything that happened during the game that made you say âWTF! (What The F#$%!) or âWTG!â (Way To Go!).
These are my normal reactions to things du...

Oh, what a tight grip the Philadelphia Eagles have on their thread-like 2-0 record.Count along with me as I go here:They Eagles have had more turnovers (9) than total quarters of football played (8).Michael Vick, who wears (7) on his jersey, has thrown (6) interceptions so far this season. He's filled the shoes of long-since departed franchise quarterback Donovan McNabb who sported...
Michael Vick scored on a 1-yard TD run with 1:55 left, helping the Philadelphia Eagles overcome a slew of turnovers to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-23 on Sunday.
Rookie kicker Justin Tucker made field goals of 56, 51 and 48 yards for the Ravens, but Joe Flacco couldn't get Baltimore (1-1) in his range in the final minute.
Flacco overthrew Ray Rice on fourth-and-1 from the Ravens...
This week the Eagles continued to be plagued by costly penalties and untimely turnovers, keeping the Ravens in the game until the end. The Eagles had a great balance of run and pass in the first half forcing the Ravens to respect the run and opening up the field for a huge dose of Brent Celek. Celek who was the forgotten man in the Ravens defensive scheme torched the Ravens for...
Four interceptions. Cleveland Browns. Michael Vick. Wow!
That was my thought pattern upon seeing how poorly the Philadelphia Eaglesâ quarterback...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is playing for his starting job, according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi.
Last week the Eagles played the Cleveland Browns as Vick passed for 317 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Â His QB rating was 51.0. Â
This week Vick threw for 371 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions with a 94.7 passing rating as the Eagles...
After an interesting preseason, the Eagles first two games looked like a cake walk and then a tough match-up with a team that many believe will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. The cake walk didnât exactly go as planned but the tough game ended up as advertised.
In two short weeks, weâve learned a lot about this team. To begin with, weâve seen that Michael Vick is still...
PHILADELPHIA â For the second straight week, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick played poorly for much of the game and then came through with the game on the line. Vick led the Eagles on a long scoring drive in the final minutes of the game and Philadelphia rallied to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-23 on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles, who trailed most...
Mike Vick hooked up with DeSean Jackson on what could be the catch of the day. With Vick and his Eagles backed up deep in their red zone, he launched a perfectly thrown ball to a laid out DeSean Jackson. Jackson somehow pulled in the grab just as Ed Reed absolutely crushed him. DeSean Jackson netted 49-yards on the play.

Justin Henry breaks down the NFC East in Week 2, as the Eagles forge another comeback, Eli Manning shines, and the Cowboys and Redskins fall to earth.
We are witnessing the first 2-0 start since 2004, two outstanding defensive displays, and the ablility to win games late. Except for turnovers and penalties, our Philadelphia Eagles gave us reasons for optimism against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. We saw big time use of the tight end Brent Celek, a balanced run and passing attack, sharp passing by Michael Vick, and solid...
The NFL has had its share of famous mustaches over time. Mike Ditka, Joe Namath and Walter Payton all made the mustache part of their iconic look. Now whiskers are again gaining buzz around the league. Head coaches Andy Reid and Jeff Fisher have both seen their mustaches get attention this season. Fisher, head coach for the St. Louis Rams, has been nominated for the Robert Goulet...
