Found August 29, 2013 on Eagles Faithful:
Eagles OLB/DE Phillip Hunt passed through waivers and will return to the team and go immediately to the injured reserved list. Hunt tore his ACL on August 15, but the Eagles had kept him on the active roster until Tuesday, when he was waived/injured during the 75-man cut down day. The third-year pro was expected to provide key depth to the outside linebacking unit that has now lost both Hunt and OLB Jason Phillips. The CFL alumnus will now officially be out for the season and will be looking to return for the 2014-15 season. Philadelphia Eagles Should Be Fun Team To Watch in 2013

Chip Kelly and the new-look Philadelphia Eagles may not be considered to be in the playoff conversation heading into the start of the highly-anticipated 2013 NFL regular season, but with unrest in the NFC East and four different division champions over the last four seasons, anything can happen.  At least one thing’s certain about this team though—it will be fascinating to...

Video: Eagles security practices taking down streakers

Eagles security guards practice tackling streakers (Video)

This is a pretty entertaining video of security guards at Lincoln Financial Field practicing how to take a streaker down. [Terez Owens]   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... ZergNet The post Eagles security guards practice tackling streakers (Video) appeared first on Pro Football Zone.

Eagles' Celek rejuvenated by Kelly's offense

To borrow a line from Mark Twain reports of Brent Celek's football death have been greatly exaggerated. A subpar season and the offseason arrival of two heralded tight ends - free agent James Casey and second-round pick Zach Ertz - had a lot of people in these parts ready to put the 6-year veteran out to pasture. But when the Eagles open the season in less than 2 weeks against...

Eagles Security Guards Stretch, Take Field to Practice Tackling Streakers and Other On-Field Intruders (Video)

While it would make sense to mock an NFL team for doing this, it is Philadelphia, so maybe this is just good form. The security guards for the Philadelphia Eagles took the field this week to practice tackling fans and other intruders who may run amuck during games, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com. While the living proof is just a far-off video of some people hustling around...

Eagles Security Guards Practice Taking Down Streakers (Video)

The Philadelphia Eagles security guards practice taking down streakers. I know this happens from time to time but actually taking time out of your day to practice it? Thats a bit far. I do have a solution for this problem though: just one time, release an angry dog after the person that streaks. That will make people think twice about it right?

Eagles Waive Former Steelers LB Adrian Robinson

Last Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded outside linebacker Adrian Robinson to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for running back Felix Jones. Now, just one week later, Robinson has been released by the Eagles. Robinson is out of practice squad eligibility so he very well might have a hard time latching on with another team if [...] Eagles Waive Former Steelers LB Adrian Robinson...

Final auditions for Eagles base 2013 roster Thursday night at Jets...

If you're still on the bubble you might want to put out some great footage on tape Thursday night against the Jets... This can only happen for you if you are still in the mix for the Final 53.  Chances are, they've already decided you are gone. They might throw you some reps so you and your agent can sell them on tape to your last-minute backup team... But that...

Eagles Preseason Game 3: Two Observations

Eagles 31, Jaguars 24, Saturday, August 24, 2013 I’m not going to do a full game recap since it took so long for the game to broadcast – and me to have time to watch it – here in DC. For a detailed review, check out Iggles Blitz. For a more brief review, check out Bleeding Green Nation. Imaginary post-pick dialogue: "Srsly, Mike. WTF?" Observation One: Tommy Lawlor...

Eagles make difficult cuts as roster takes shape

So much for Dennis Dixon having a leg up because he knows Chip Kelly's offense. Dixon was one of 12 players cut by the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday as they moved closer to the 53-player roster limit. He had a standout career at Oregon when Kelly was the Ducks' offensive coordinator there, and signed with the Eagles in February, not long after Kelly took the job. But Dixon...

Know Your Enemy: Philadelphia Eagles

Fly, Philadelphia Eagles, Fly After a disappointing 4-12 campaign, longtime head coach Andy Reid was shown the door. In walked Chip Kelly, lately of Oregon, with his up-tempo offense. In concert with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who comes to Philadelphia from the Cleveland Browns, Kelly looks to resurrect an offense that scored only 17.5 points per game […]The post Know...

Predicting the 53

By 6 PM Saturday, the Philadelphia Eagles will have reached their league mandated 53 man roster. This is not to say that the roster will be finalized. The Eagles are a team the boasts depth along the offensive and defensive lines, but lacks depth in the secondary. Therefore, expect the Birds to continue to make roster moves as the players being released from other teams look for...
