The photo above shows what 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson would look like if they lost this coming Sunday. The two friends have added a bit of fun to the budding 49ers Seahawks rivalry with a friendly little bet. The losing quarterback has to shave off his eyebrows. Many are saying it was just a joke between the two friends, but its still fun to look at what they would look like.   H/T Terez Owens for the picture The post Photo of Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson Without an Eyebrow appeared first on Overtime.

Colin Kaepernick: Week 1′s Gem

To say the San Francisco 49ers lived up to the hype Week 1 versus the fellow NFC powerhouse Green Bay Packers may be a bit of an understatement. With their defense playing at mid-season form and their signal caller, Colin Kaepernick, looking like a 10-year veteran, San Francisco may have turned a few more heads in the home opener. From the very beginning Mike McCarthy’s Packers...

San Francisco 49ers: why the Niners vs Seahawks rivalry is best in the NFL

What a difference a few years makes. 3 years ago, the NFC West was the worst division in NFL history with no team finishing better than 500. It was saved a little bit by Seattle’s improbable victory over the New Orleans Saints, which was the game where Marshawn Lynch’s fame started. Remember his 67 yard touchdown run. If not, look it up. Flash forward three years where the NFC...

Colin Kaepernick proves he is much more than an option quarterback

Colin Kaepernick had the best game of his young career in a 45-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers on January 12, 2013, running for 181 yards and passing for 263 yards.  The San Francisco 49ers gashed the Packers’ run defense for a total of 323 yards rushing and Kaepernick was the biggest reason why it happened.  Early in the 3rd quarter, with the game tied at 24, Kaepernick...

Richard Sherman has no problem with Colin Kaepernick’s bicep kiss celebration

Given that Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is a known provocateur on the football field — as well as off it — perhaps it should not be surprising that he said he has no problem with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick’s patented touchdown celebration of kissing his bicep. Heading into a huge showdown with […]The post Richard Sherman has no problem...

Russell Wilson Scout Team Impersonator B.J. Daniels Says 49ers Are Ready for Seahawks

One man on the 49ers’ roster may know better than anyone whether San Francisco is ready to take on the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson. That man is B.J. Daniels, of course. Wait. Who? Daniels was the 49ers No. 237 pick in the 2013 draft. He has been impersonating Wilson on San Francisco’s scout team because he’s similar in stature (5-foot-11, 217 pounds) and speed. “I...

Donte Whitner: Russell Wilson is careless with the football

49ers safety Donte Whitner told Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports that he believes they’ll have chances to make some big plays against Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on Sunday night. “He does,” said Whiter. ”Whenever you play that style of football where you’re running around and some guys get open sometimes by (Wilson) running, you’ll give (defenders) some opportunities...

NFL Week 1 Grades: What Sophomore Slump?

It was an exciting week of football, starting with an explosive showing by the ageless veteran Peyton Manning.  And while all eyes were on the Baltimore Ravens-Denver Broncos rematch of the 2013 AFC Divisional Playoffs to usher in the new NFL season, for once, it seemed that the NFL community also had their radar on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.  Wilson deserves...

Packers LB Clay Matthews fined $15,000

Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews was fined $15,000 for a hit on San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick during the teams' season opener. According to the NFL, Matthews was fined ''for striking an opponent late.'' Matthews drew a personal-foul penalty in the 49ers' 34-28 win Sunday after he tackled Kaepernick out of bounds deep in Green Bay territory...

Packers D-line needs to dial up the pressure

The moment everyone heard that free safety Morgan Burnett was a scratch for the Packers-49ers game, most people panicked. The secondary did look awful. But that’s not the reason the Packers lost. The reason they lost is because the defensive line only recorded two quarterback pressures, and that includes a late garbage sack by Johnny Jolly. Colin Kaepernick was allowed to pick...

Moments in Time – 49ers vs Seahawks 2012

I was there! When you ask Seattle Seahawks fans about their favorite game, you’ll get some nostalgic answers and some sentimental answers. Many will tell you the day the Hawks upset the Saints in the playoffs with the Beast Quake run. Many will give you a day in the famed Super Bowl year, perhaps against the Redskins or Panthers. But after last season, there’s a new one to add...
