Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon believes he’ll be able to get through the rest of the season even though he has to continue to deal with pain his foot. “I think I’m going to make it through the whole season,” Garcon told the Washington Post. “Hopefully nothing crazy happens. But I’ve been dealing with the pain for so long now, it’s only getting numb to it or getting used to it. It’s slowly going away. The surgery is not something I want to do. “But if a few doctors say I need it, then I’ll probably do it. But if I don’t need it, I’m not getting it.” Garcon is learning to deal with the pain. “Some days are better than others,” Garcon said. “Some days I do a lot more activity than others. But it is getting better. “If I’d have gave up, that would hurt a lot more than the pain that I’m feeling right now. These guys are my friends and we’re all depending on each other. We need everybody in here to be Super Bowl champs, to make it to the playoffs and stuff like that. I enjoy fighting for everything that I get. It makes me appreciate it a little bit more. I can look back and say I gave it my all and I have nothing to hang my head about.” It seems like the Redskins’ offense is an entirely different animal with Garcon because of how much rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III trusts him.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

Former Redksins RB Ryan Torain set to sign with Giants

The loss of Andre Brown left a hole at running back with talented but unproven rookie David Wilson as the second back. Wilson’s history of fumbling problems doesn’t give Tom Coughlin much confidence if the kid can't handle the load, Torrain will get a chance to jump start his career. Torain hasn’t played a game since last December but is a solid back when healthy. However...

The Giants are coming off a back yard beat down of the Green Bay Packers, but Griffin feels the Redskins are confident that their meeting with the Giants will be the coming out party...

Remembering The Great Sean Taylor

  Five years ago today, the NFL football family lost a great father, friend and player in safety Sean Taylor. Sean Taylor followed in the footsteps of former Miami Hurricane greats as he established himself as a force in the defensive back field in college and at the pro level. After winning a BCS National Championship in 2001, Taylor was drafted by the Washington Redskins...

Dog won't eat treat when told it's a Cowboys treat

If you were to tell me that someone from the University of Michigan made a strip of bacon and put it in front of my face, it would not stop me from eating it. Bacon is bacon, I don’t care who made it. In fact, I had an awesome homemade turkey club. Anyway, all of [...]
