The Pittsburgh Steelers returned to the practice fields of Saint Vincent Tuesday, with the second newest member of the team on the field in tight end Justin Peelle. Unfortunately, his arrival to compete with Will Johnson to replace David Johnson at fullback took a backseat do to the announcement that offensive tackle Max Starks was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. For Starks, it was a long road back after suffering a torn ACL during the playoff loss to the Denver Broncos in January. One of the last free agent signings before training camp, many have projected all offseason that the 30-year old veteran tackle would actually be the opening day starter on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s blind side if healthy.
While Starks was activated, he will not see action on the practice field until Friday at the earliest, and is questionable at best to see action against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night, as he is coming to speed with a different type of activity...

Our first look at Willie Colon at left guard was delayed last week because of an ankle injury, but this Sunday night when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts in the second preseason game, Colon will finally start at his new position.

The groin injury has...
The Steelers are looking at a potential dilemma to work through when the season starts next month. Who is going to play on the outside opposite Lamarr Woodley? Normally this one is a no brainer, it’s James Harrison, but right now it’s unclear if he’ll be ready to go. To that, if he is ready, can he play the entire game and be effective in the first couple weeks of the season...
The end of training camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers is near with just one more practice that is open to the public remaining on Friday. With co-host David Todd in Oregon tonight and most of the Pittsburgh media worn out, you once again get me flying solo. Hurray!
I go through all of the news and notes from the Thursday practice and spend more time talking about both James Harrison...
