Even though the Carolina Panthers have yet to contact the six-foot-six Plaxico Burress, the former Super Bowl Champion was not shy in expressing his wish to play for them this season.
"My brother lives right there in Charlotte, my cousin lives there in Charlotte, and all my family is there in Columbia, South Carolina,” said Burress in a radio interview this week according to ESPN. “It would just be a great situation all the way around and being close to everybody.
The team’s location, however, is not the only reason Burress wants to play in Carolina.
"Not just that, but playing with Cam, who I think is one of the top five quarterbacks in all of football, and as long as I can remember Steve Smith has been one of my favorites. I just think it's a great situation."
Burress has also expressed interest in playing for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles though, unlike last offseason, have shied away from signing big name free agents.
