TEAMS:
Seattle Seahawks
TFDS has already posted a breakdown of what I saw of Greg Knapp's offense and playing calling. Knapp has served the last two years as the QB coach of the Houston but before that served as the offensive coordinator in Seattle, his last year with that title. You can read that breakdown here.TFDS will be getting into some details on some of the plays that the Raiders may have in their playbook in subsequent posts.Today we'll look at a play that Seattle ran against the Rams, week 1 of 2009. It was run on Seattle's first possession.
The Seahawks came out in a strong run formation with a two TE set both to the right side of the line, creating an unbalanced line. There was on in an X position (on the line) and there was a FB and RB in the backfield. The QB was under Center. To all indications this was going to be a run play and the defenders have to shift some coverage to that strong side because the two TEs and a lead blocker could do some damage in run blocking. There wer...

The Jets cussed out the Seahawks for drafting the red hot Bruce Irvin.
Some way, somehow out of all the alleged bad boys with character issues in this year’s draft, Bruce Irvin was the most coveted acquisition.
Publicly jaws dropped when the Seattle Seahawks took him the first round. Beyond his personal issues Irvin was seen as project player that can do one thing well and that’s speed rush the passer.

Seattle Seahawks Draft Grade: D-
So this is officially the one thousandth article grading the Seahawks’ draft in the failing grade range. Take the “homer” and “fan” out of your analysis and you too would feel this way. But my reasoning may be different than others. Let’s take a few picks and see.
Round 1. The Seahawks choose Bruce Irvin, DE from West Virginia. Irvin may be the best pass rusher...
In-Depth: A closer look at the Seahawks Bobby Wagner
Get to know Bobby Wagner
The Seattle Seahawks wheeled and dealed like they normally do in this year’s NFL Draft. They started with 6 draft picks and ended up with 10. The team had a few holes to fill in the draft with Linebacker being a big concern. The Seahawks augmented that issue by drafting a monster of a linebacker.
With the 47th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks...

New Seahawks caught on film
The consensus was the Seattle Seahawks came into the 2012 NFL draft needing a pass rusher, a linebacker, a backup running back, some offensive line depth, and a split end.
Pete Carroll and John Schneider nearly pulled it off.
We suffered for five long years watching Tim Ruskell make picks.
In these 2 I trust

Steven Hauschka signs one-year tender Seattle
In 2011/12 Steven Hauschka played 16 games. He was 34/34 on XP's, and 25/30 on FG attempts, including two of more than 50 yards.
A nice start for the guy that gave Pete Carroll and John Schneider a reason to cut former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed in the Seahawks 2012 training camp, after he'd (we thought) won the job.
