How can the Oakland Raiders, a team with defensive difficulties against both the run and pass, possibly prepare for Cam Newton? "We've got the closest guy to him right here in Terrelle Pryor," running back Mike Goodson said. Added Raiders coach Dennis Allen: "He does have some of the same skill set." Pryor has been running read-option plays during practice, as well as venturing out on scrambles, sometimes running it, other times passing it. "I've seen a lot of Cam and I'm sure he's watched or seen me somewhere," Pryor said. "Even back when we were coming into the NFL we exchanged text messages and stuff like that. He's a great guy, athletic, just like myself. The offense is broken down pretty good for him to have real success. He has a gun and he's playing well, too." The Raiders are coming off a 15-0 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but playing Brady Quinn hardly prepares them for Newton. "He creates a lot of issues that you have to worry about," Allen said. "You have to worry about him in the passing game, scrambling around and keeping plays alive. They use him a lot of different ways in the running game also." Cornerback Michael Huff said his primary objective will be to stick by receivers and not get baited into leaving them in fear of a Newton scramble for rushing yards. "You don't come off," Huff said. "You have no idea, with your back turned. You cover until its two, three seconds later." Newton is on a streak of 152 passes without an interception, the longest current streak in the NFL. "That's pretty impressive, but I think with the type of offense they have and the type of reads that he has, it comes with that," Raiders linebacker Philip Wheeler said. "If he doesn't see it, he runs it. I think that might come into effect."
