When you ask someone how they are doing, do you really mean it? When you answer someone back how you are doing, are you really telling the truth? We live in a society of social networks, with Twitter pages and Facebook, and that’s fine, but we have contact with our work associates, our family, our friends, and it seems like half the time we are more preoccupied with our phone and other things going on instead of the actual relationships that we have right in front of us. Hopefully, people can learn from this and try to actually help if someone is battling something deeper on the inside than what they are revealing on a day-to-day basis. – Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn in the wake of a murder-suicide involving his teammate Jovan Belcher. Quinn led the Kansas City Chiefs to a win and provided one of the more well-thought postgame quotes in recent history, extending well beyond the numbers and the final score of what is ultimately just a game.

Jovan Belcher’s Death Has Brady Quinn, Chiefs Teammates Wondering Whether They Could Have Helped

For Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn, the death of a teammate is close to home. Quinn was playing with the Broncos in 2010 when wide receiver Kenny McKinley committed suicide. How does a team, after suffering such a horrifying event, go out and play football? To take the words from Coach...

Links of the Day 12/4/12

I’m fairly sure I pulled a muscle in my back at the gym today. Keep that in mind when you judge my poorly written posts. Here are the top non BCS Bowls this year. Neither Purdue or Minnesota appears on this list. This is a heck of a play by the increasingly great Andrew Luck. I know I have said a lot of mean things about Brady Quinn, mostly because of his time at Notre Dame, but...
