RENTON — Seahawks defensive end Raheem Brock says he’s still waiting to make his case to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell about the $15,000 fine he was slapped with for rolling into Ben Roethlisberger’s legs in Week 2.
So the appeal is still pending. But Brock indicated Thursday on Twitter that things aren’t looking too promising.
“Update on my fine…NFL rule says if u intentionally or unintentionally hit or fall into the QB’s legs its still a Fine!”
Brock’s main argument, of course, is that he was tripped into Roethlisberger’s legs by Steelers right tackle Marcus Gilbert. Replays showed that as Brock was completing a spin move to get past Gilbert, the rookie tackle extended his leg and appeared to trip Brock. As a result, the defensive end fell into Roethlisberger’s legs, drawing a 15-yard penalty and later a $15,000 fine.
At least he has some cool shoes, though. Check out the neon green kicks Brock was rocking in the locker room today.
