Raiders coach Dennis Allen went back and forth on whether to play Terrelle Pryor against Washington until finally reaching a decision the night before Sunday's game. Allen said he chose to err on the side of "extreme caution" in defending his decision Sunday after a 24-14 loss at O.co Coliseum. "We were actually at a point where we were ready to go with Terrelle" Allen said. "We visited with him one more time with the doctors and we just didn't feel good about letting him play. It just wasn't the right thing to do and we wanted to make sure we did right by him." As to whether Pryor will be available to face the San Diego Chargers in a week Allen said: "I'm very hopeful. We were at the point where we were about ready to say 'He's got it' but we just didn't feel comfortable going ahead and letting him play." Free safety Charles Woodson said players know the deal when it comes to concussions. "We understand that they had to go through the proper protocol with Terrelle and as a team we've got to rally behind whoever's behind center" Woodson said. "It doesn't matter who it is. We've got to try to come up with a win." Allen had no information on how long running back Darren McFadden (hamstring) or fullback Marcel Reece (knee) might be out although it's believed Reece's injury is the more serious of the two. The blocked punt by Rashad Jennings that resulted in a Jeremy Stewart touchdown was the Raiders' first such play since Oct. 10 2010 when Brandon Myers blocked a punt against San Diego and Hiram Eugene scored a touchdown. Jennings also ran 15 times for 45 yards and caught eight passes for 71 yards on one play catching a short pass behind the line of scrimmage and breaking two tackles for a first down on the Raiders' lone scoring drive. "You always have to see yourself as the guy" Jennings said. "Wherever they put me wherever they need me I'll do what I can to help us win games." Sebastian Janikowski missed a 52-yard field goal attempt off the infield dirt toward the south end zone his third miss of the season with holder Marquette King.
