Found August 26, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn will not play in their final preseason game.  Flynn has been dealing with elbow tendonitis.  Flynn struggled in the Raiders third preseason game, he threw three interceptions against the Bears. Terrelle Pryor backed up Flynn in the Raiders last game and he seemed to give the team a boost.  Pryor was 7-9 and threw for one touchdown and he also rushed for one touchdown.  Pryor will start the Raiders final preseason game against the Seahawks.  Head coach Dennis Allen will have a very difficult decision to make if Pryor succeeds against a very good Seattle defense. We could see history repeating itself with Flynn.  He was brought into Seattle last offseason to take their starting QB gig, but Russell Wilson impressed in training camp and won the job in the final preseason game.  The Raiders traded for Flynn this offseason to be their starting QB, but is now in stiff competition with Pryor. Raiders considering Terrell Pryor as Week 1 QB

getty images The Oakland Raiders are having second thoughts about starting quarterback Matt Flynn. Acquired by Oakland in the offseason the 28-year-old Flynn was considered a near lock to start at quarterback for Week 1 of the season. However, Flynn’s poor arm and underwhelming decision making during the preseason are giving the Raiders reason to turn to Terrell Pryor. Raiders...

Pryor to start for Raiders Thursday, Flynn resting with elbow tendonitis

Last year Matt Flynn entered training camp with a shot at the starting job only to lose it to a quarterback who outplayed him in the preseason by making plays with both his arm and his legs while Flynn struggled with an elbow injury. History may be repeating itself. Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area reports that Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Sunday that the team will be resting Flynn...

Oakland Raiders vs Chicago Bears Game Recap

The Raiders faced the Chicago Bears in their third preseason game of the season and lost 34-26. There were many disappointing moments, but there were also a few nice performances. Matt Flynn started the game for the silver and black, but the quarterback really struggled. The offensive line had yet another weak performance, struggling to protect the quarterback and give him time...

Raiders offense will get way better with Terrelle Pryor in charge

One thing that has been consistent this pre-season is the fact that every time Terrelle Pryor gets on the field the team is moving in the right direction.  He moves them up and down the field using both his speed and scrambling skills to pick up first downs.  The Raiders have not a dual threat […]

Pryor (concussion) might miss time

The Oakland Raiders will begin a short week of preparation with uncertainty about who will start at quarterback as Terrelle Pryor recovers from a concussion. Pryor will not be able to practice until he goes through...

Terrelle Pryor, Russell Wilson comparisons aren't fair to Pryor

Comparisons between Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson should end after we mention that both are young, athletic quarterbacks capable of extending plays and buying themselves time. Boom. Done. Finished. That’s where comparisons should end, but naturally, the two quarterbacks are being compared more than ever following Terrelle Pryor...

Oakland Raiders Are a Playoff Team If Terrelle Pryor Starts at QB

A year & a half ago Terrelle Pryor looked like a wasted second round pick by the Oakland Raiders. I on the other hand saw TP2 as the future starting QB for that Raiders’ squad. My proclamations on Twitter of Pryor becoming an All-Pro or Hall of Famer were said in jest but his ability to be a top tier NFL QB were extremely serious. Pryor had all of the tools at Ohio State,...

Game Recap: Bears' Offense Produces In Dress Rehearsal Against Oakland

The Chicago Bears' offense gained 252 yards and 14 first downs, while the Oakland Raiders' offense gained 92 yards and just four first downs in the first half of Friday night's game in Oakland. It was a mixture of the Raiders having a very inept offense led by Matt Flynn and the Bears' defense making plays. Flynn completed just three of six passes for 19 yards and...
