Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie is continuing the house cleaning as veteran defensive tackle Tommy Kelly is expected to be released on Wednesday.
According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, Kelly will get his walking papers and become a free agent. Rosenthal writes:
‘The team will release defensive lineman Tommy Kelly on Wednesday, according to CBSSports.com. This was a widely expected move, even by Kelly himself.
Late team owner Al Davis signed Kelly to a seven-year, $50.1 million contract in 2008, and the defensive lineman was set to make $6.5 million in 2013.’
