According to Gerry Dulac the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed offensive lineman Ramon Foster to a three year deal today. Foster played all 16 games for the Steelers and played right guard, left guard, and right tackle. Over the past three seasons Foster has been one of the most consistent lineman on the Steelers roster and since becoming a starter in 2010 he is the only lineman on the Steelers roster who has not missed a game in that span due to injury. 2012 first round pick David DeCastro was drafted to be the Steelers starting right guard. That means that re-signing Foster means that the Steelers see him as their left guard of the future. The question that arises then is what is the plan for Willie Colon? Colon has been rumored to be on the chopping block since the start of the off-season and the signing of Foster makes him expendable. Tomorrow Foster would have become an unrestricted free agent, but instead he has chose to stay with the Steelers and not test the open market. This al...

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue on Tuesday with their yearly process of signing their own free agents as Bob Labriola reports on Twitter that fullback/tight end David Johnson has been re-signed to a one year contract. Rotoworld: It’s Official the Pittsburgh Steelers Release Willie Colon with a June Designation

According to Rotoworld and Spotrac the Pittsburgh Steelers have released offensive lineman Willie Colon. Colon has played right tackle and left guard for the Steelers and is a very good run blocker. The Pittsburgh Steelers are Expected to Release Willie Colon Today

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been expected to make multiple cuts since the off-season started and Willie Colon has been expected to be one of those players. Even so, he is still on the roster currently, but he is expected to be released today. If the Steelers release Colon after June first they can save $5.5 million against the cap for the 2013 season. Report: Browns Yet To Express Interest In Steelers CB Keenan Lewis

According to Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer on Twitter, the Cleveland Browns haven't yet expressed interest in signing Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Keenan Lewis, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in a matter of a few hours. This disputes an earlier report from over the weekend that stated the Browns indeed had interest in the Steelers 2009 third-round draft...

Longtime Steelers badass James Harrison is interested in becoming a Baltimore Raven

Hoping to help compensate for the losses of Ray Lewis and Paul Kruger, free agent linebacker James Harrison is reportedly interested in becoming a Baltimore Raven. Even at 34, the 6-foot, 242 pound Harrison, who the Pittsburgh Steelers signed as an undrafted talent out of Kent State in 2002, is an upgrade over Kruger and the unhinged badass would somewhat lessen the dramatic impact...

With The Release Of James Harrison It Is Clear The Pittsburgh Steelers Are In The Rebuild Mode,2013 Looks Questionable.

When the Steelers released James Harrison, one of the teams best defensive players  over the past 9 seasons it became clear the team is now in a re-build mode. The Steelers didn’t want to pay Harrison 4 million dollars a year and they already restructured Roethlisberger’s contract to make it more cap friendly. After his release the bruising line-backer that hits like no other...

The most highly sought skill-position player in free agency has a new home. Wide receiver Mike Wallace has agreed to contract terms with Miami, the NFL Network reported. Wallace has the most catches of 40-plus yards in the NFL since...

Tight End David Johnson Signs One-Year Deal With The Steelers

It seems like years ago the conversation was whether the Steelers would use David Johnson as a fullback/H-back hybrid role player. And then, the first of Marcus Gilbert strikes happened, and Johnson was lost for the year. He went down with a torn ACL in the first game of the preseason - his restricted free agency year. Apparently, the Steelers are pleased enough with his rehabilitation...
