After a few false starts and back ups and all but assumed signings, the Rams have announced that they have signed veteran OLB Ben Leber and he will officially put pen to paper tomorrow. With Leber, the Rams have quietly upgraded their defense in every position that needed attention.
Last season they were very susceptible to outside runs and passes to the tight end, especially after Na’il Diggs was lost for the season, both places where outside linebackers have responsibility. With the signings of Leber, Brady Poppinga and Zack Diles, the Rams have quality depth to go along with their solid starters.
I love how this Rams team is being constructed. Quiet, under the radar and solid. That is the making of a good football team.
