Wide receiver Torry Holt, who was previously rumored to be traded to the Eagles, was released today by the St. Louis Rams. Holt is a 7 time Pro Bowler but he is 32 and the move saves the Rams 8 million dollars.Let the speculation for him signing with the Eagles begin. Expect the Giants and the Titans, who almost traded for Holt, also to be in the mix.The question now for Eagles fans is who would you rather the Birds signed, Holt or....Click the link for more on what other veteran receivers the Eagles might pursue....

  • Harrison or Holt? Or neither?
  • neither everyone stop talking about old WRs if we wanted one we would have gotten housh just wait to see what happens in the draft
  • Holt's not exactly old
  • if i had to have 1, it would be holt

  • I would say Holt, too, if I had to have one. I don't think either is much of an upgrade over what the Eagles already have
  • I also think Holt would be a good addition. He would be an upgrade over baskett, Avant. and i like avant hes good when he gets playing time. Brown is a loss cause if he ever gets a chance to dress for a game. I would say a slight edge over Curtis...
  • holt over harrison, but i'd rather have neither i'll take boldin or braylon edwards

  • I'm all for getting Holt. I'm not for trading away the draft picks
  • we screw up our early picks anyway though
  • Yea Andrews, Patterson, Bunkley, Laws, Jackson were some horrible, horrible picks

  • I'd go with Holt cause he costs less than boldin and we could have the draft picks still
  • Maybe he could mentor DJax too. He has experience
  • D Jax already has Jerry Rice it dont get no better then that
  • Def holt over Harrison but I don't think holt is any better than Curtis this late in his career I'd rather give a 1 n 3 for Boldin than get holt but he would be a 2nd option if Boldin dosent work out
  • Holt but i still like marvin

  • U guys kidding? Holt could come in and start day one at least as the #2 guy. What are U guys smokin?
  • And Curtis would shift to slot....mmm I smell mismatch city
  • Holt is a good receiver. If the Eagles were truely interested in Boldin, then they should go after Holt.. My reasoning for that he is a goood friggen receiver. .. ( i made a mistake a week ago, when i thought he was 35 )
Hes actually only 31 or some crap, and that means he has a few good years ahead of him. (just like TJ does) and everyone wanted TJ! Plus this guy is better then TJ
  • Theonenonly, are we talking bout the same Torry Holt? How does he suck? First of all the Rams sucked last year behind bum QBs, before last year he had 6, yeah 6 straight years of 90+ catch 1000+ yard seasons, does that suck? He has great hands, how many years have the Eagles been mentioned as one of the top team with DROPS. He is definitely an upgrade to go with Curtis and Jackson. If you can catch 90 passes for 6 straight seasons that show me that he can not only catch, but get open which we haven't been able to do over the years. Oh yeah, I would love to have Boldin but Holt wouldnt be a bad pick up.
  • And he stays HEALTHY! How many games has he missed in his career? 2! Thats 158/160. He played on one of the worst teams in the league last year, that could hurt anybody's production. But still, 64 rec 796 yds is not a bad season. I would take those numbers in Philly next year to go along with Curtis and DJax.

  • Holt has bad wheels. He has to ice his knees after every series.. Boldin would be awesome
  • neither
  • they are old.. dont u guys ever learn.. we do not need a 32 yr old reciever at the decline of his career.. i would rather we got neither holt or harrison.. they are bums now.. nothing against what they used to do, but they are only going to get worse as the years go on.. if we trade for a wr, we need a young guy to step in. boldin would fit perfect.. if we cannot get him, DO NOT SIGN one of these old heads...

  • Holt the logical choice for D-Jax continued growth. Already to much focus on Boldin. We dont need him. Holt the type of veteran that can get dirty in big games. Need a playoff calibur reciever for a solid run. And it leaves eagles with multiple draft picks.

  • housh was old
  • Housh wanted around 10 million per year. At most Holt wants 6-7 million, which isn't likely. It's just what

  • holt would be a good pickup ive never seen a better case of needs-change-of-scenery. He could also be a great mentor to desean jackson.
  • uh..... No..... The Eagles are trying to get younger only Boldin will the Eagles go after otherwise the draft.
