St. Louis Rams rookie cornerback Trumaine Johnson missed his first training camp practice after missing his flight on Wednesday because he overslept.
“I set my alarm clock,” Johnson said after his day of practice on Thursday, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I didn’t hear it. I missed my flight. I messed up.”
Oversleeping and missing practice isn’t unheard of when it comes to NFL rookies. I’m sure Johnson will do what he can to ensure he never misses another practice.

The St. Louis Rams have officially signed all of their 2012 NFL Draft picks, agreeing to terms with cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson just in time for the opening of rookie camp Wednesday.
One thing the Rams haven't been accustomed to dealing with during their time in the Gateway City is players with recurring off-the-field issues. However, the "character...
Injuries at the cornerback position in 2011 prompted the St. Louis Rams to invest heavily in the position this offseason. Cortland Finnegan was signed to a five-year, $50 million contract and the Rams added Janoris Jenkins in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft and Trumaine Johnson in the third. The Rams reached agreement on rookie contracts with Jenkins and Johnson on Tuesday...

There are good ways to start your NFL career, and there are bad ways. Rams rookie cornerback Trumaine Johnson knows about the bad ways.
The third-round draft pick reached a contract agreement with the team on Tuesday, which made him eligible to join the team at training camp on Wednesday. But Johnson couldn’t make it in time for his first official practice because of a regrettable...
St. Louis Rams rookies got a three-day head start at training camp. New coach Jeff Fisher hopes that'll help them adjust now that the veterans have arrived.
The first full-squad practice is Sunday afternoon, giving Fisher two weeks to prepare for the first preseason game Aug. 12 at Indianapolis. The Rams and Colts tied for the worst record in the NFL last year at 2-14.
Steven Jackson is now 29 years old and has 2138 career carries. The average member of the top-25 all-time leaders in rushing yards has his last 1000 yard season at age 30 and 2602 career carries (Jackson currently sits at 32nd all-time and will likely finish his career in the top-25). After that players have a big drop off and they average just 169 carries per season at 3.5 yards...
The Rams rookie WR could be the defacto #1 WR in St Louis. Making catches like this will only help. S/O to @lifesyourcup for the GIF.

We all know what S Jack can bring to the table. Seven years with at least a 1,000 yards and 5 touchdowns. Not to mention his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. How long can this production last? His bruiser mentality makes him questionable weekly leaving owners perplexed in regards to touches and playtime.

Former Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl fullback Ovie Mughelli has signed a one-year contract with the St. Louis Rams.
Mughelli played in only seven games last season due to a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
Mughelli was cut in May.
He was scheduled to earn $3 million this season prior to being released.
Mughelli, 32, visited the Rams and the Miami Dolphins earlier this year.
The St. Louis Rams made a minor, but notable move on Saturday, a day before the full team takes to the practice field for training camp. The team signed fullback Ovie Mughelli of the Atlanta Falcons, according to Jim Thomas at the Post-Dispatch. Mughelli, 32, made the Pro Bowl in 2010. The veteran full back was released by the Falcons in May. He was due a $3 million salary this season...
