Found September 09, 2013 on Fox Sports:
In 1998, Randy Moss made his rookie debut with the Minnesota Vikings donning No. 84. That number became synonymous with the wide receiver during his time with the purple and gold -- but now, more than a decade later, there is a new receiver wearing the number in Minnesota, and Moss is less than pleased . Although he is not the first player to wear Moss' old number with the Vikings, Minnesota's first-round pick Cordarrelle Patterson is the newest to don it. Patterson wore No. 84 while playing for the University of Tennessee. Moss, who is now a commentator for FOX Sports 1, doesn't believe he's worthy of it at the professional level. "That's disrespectful to give a rookie my number," Moss said on Sunday. "I don't really believe in numbers but from a professional standpoint, I did make that number. He hasn't proven anything yet but hey what can I say? I'm just Randy Moss sitting here in the studio." Moss may be confused as to how numbers work, but he's at least doing a good job of keeping his name linked to what he "made."

Takeaways from San Francisco 49ers Week One Win

San Francisco’s last two games at Candlestick Park have been eerily similar. Both against Green Bay, both wins, and both dominated by Colin Kaepernick.  However, unlike the NFC Divisional Round matchup last year when Kaepernick torched the Packers on the ground, today the battle was won in the air.  Kaepernick threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns on route to a 34-28 win. ...

Packers game plan to beat the 49ers

Needless to say, the Packer nation is not eager to see a repeat of last years’ failures. The Packers need to do several things in order to keep the...

Kaepernick: Packers need 'better' game plan than 'intimidation'

Colin Kaepernick had a 34-28 victory to point to after the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers finished up on Sunday. But he’s added some words, too. Kaepernick got drilled out of bounds by Clay Matthews on a third-quarter scramble Sunday, drawing a penalty flag. A 49ers player ended up getting penalized in the little fight that broke out afterward, too, though, meaning Green...

San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers: Post Game Wrap Up

The 49ers showed that they are still one of the more physical teams in the NFL but they can win by letting Colin Kaepernick throw the ball. The Packers were so concerned about not allowing...

Jim Harbaugh on Clay Matthews slap: 'Come with some knuckles'

It's not every day that an NFL coach takes issue with the way an opposing player fights but that's what 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh did on Monday when the subject of Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews came up.
