GO! AND the final game Bret Beilema will get blamed for at U-W.  I wonder if he watched the game?  I am sure he did.  But how?  A bowl of cheetos with Jen and himself?  A party?   at BW3′s and just watched it with the other bowl games on?   Or could he not bear his former family losing and playing without him? Sometimes all you have to see is the picture… The Vikings have not won a game outdoors THIS YEAR.  Ok, I am picking the Packers to roll.  Want another reason?  Packers have not lost back to back games.  Want another reason?  Christian Ponder. Runs like the below scare the Brett Favre out of me! Some 15 year old girl killed it on Shark Tank last night.  Friggin awesome. New Year’s resolutions are stupid.   Don’t pick a date to start something start today losers.   I realize it’s Jan. 2nd and that would be a new year’s resolution, but you know what I mean. Rock it to the house! Bucks beat Heat and lose to the Pistons.  Team is driving me nuts.  But I do like these fella

Forget TarVar, is Ponder actually Favre?

A couple of weeks ago we did a side-by-side analysis of how former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and current Vikings QB Christian Ponder had some eerily similar stats throughout their first 20+ games in Minnesota. Needless to say, it didn't instill a lot of confidence in Vikings fans. However, Ponder was apparently able to overcome this setback and perform admirably...

Christian Ponder might play hurt in playoff debut

According to Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com, Vikings QB Christian Ponder was limited in practice today.Per Frazier, Christian Ponder was highly limited today. Trying to calm down elbow. #Vikings— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) January 3, 2013Sorry, he was “highly limited,” and now Ponder has approximately fifty-one hours to rest up before his postseason debut. Prayers and thoughts...

Vikings' receivers now in sync with Ponder

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder came through with the best game of his two-year career Sunday with his team needing a win to advance to the playoffs. Ponder's play has progressed since walking off Lambeau Field on Dec. 2, when he threw two costly interceptions, and has given Minnesota's offense the balance needed to make a run to the postseason...

Packers want to force Ponder to beat them

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Adrian Peterson was the best player for the Minnesota Vikings all season. There is no debating that. But as great as the team's star running back was, he needed some help from quarterback Christian Ponder in order to get the Vikings into the playoffs. Throughout most of the season, Peterson didn't get that help. In his second NFL season, Ponder mostly struggled...

Ponder has quietly passed through his struggles

The Minnesota Vikings are Adrian Peterson's team. Christian Ponder, though, is the one most responsible for their progress. The passing game was so bad and the ground game was so good that, for a while, Peterson was rushing for more yards than Ponder was accumulating passing. But since the Vikings lost to the Packers on Dec. 2, due largely to the two interceptions Ponder threw...

When Ponder was down, Frazier picked him up

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Christian Ponder walked off the field on Dec. 2 at Green Bay feeling personally responsible for the Minnesota Vikings' loss to a division rival, a defeat that nearly finished off his team's playoff chances. Ponder had thrown two interceptions, both in the second half and both in the red zone, in a game the Vikings had led, 14-10, at halftime. The second...

Soft Zone or Blitz? What Will Packers DC Dom Capers Do?

Will Packers blitz Christian Ponder? Now that we’ve dissected the “Peterson Problem” here and here, it’s time to turn to the guy who really won the game last week for the Vikings: Christian Ponder.  The Packers made a huge mistake by being passive and letting Ponder get comfortable. This was the exact opposite approach they took against Ponder in the first meeting of this...

Christian Ponder Limited Wednesday

Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder bruised his elbow Sunday against the Packers and was limited in practice Wednesday as a result. SOURCE: Judd Zulgad, 1500ESPN.comFantasy Spin:Vikings coach Leslie Frazier didn't seem overly concerned about Ponder, according to Zulgad. Ponder is by far the worst of the eight quarterbacks who will play this weekend in the first round of the...

Vikings battle turnovers, not elements, outside

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier pondered on Monday whether he would have his team practice outdoors this week in anticipation of Saturday's playoff game in Green Bay, where temperatures are expected to range from a high of 27 degrees to a low of 14 degrees. By the time Frazier arrived at the team's Winter Park facilities Tuesday, the issue had...

Minnesota Vikings hoping for déjà vu on Saturday

It’s officially a grudge match this Saturday night. The Minnesota Vikings were able to fend of the Green Bay Packers and advance to the Wild Card round of the playoffs where they will face… the Green Bay Packers. With history in the making, Adrian Peterson fell just nine yards shy of the all time single-season rushing record, but the Vikings came up big last Sunday against an...

Vikings will need a new game plan to beat the Packers again

The Minnesota Vikings were able to sneak into the playoffs by edging the Green Bay Packers in Minnesota. Just a week later, the Vikings will have to beat the Packers in Green Bay to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, and it won't be easy. The biggest challenge facing the Vikings won't be Lambeau Field or a hostile crowd. In fact, the outdoor setting probably...

Packers lose to Vikings, lose bye

Well, well, well...that didn't quite work out as planned, did it, Packer fans? While we knew -- and projected -- that this would be a close game (we had the Packers beating the Vikings 27-24), we didn't think the Green Bay Packers would let the opportunity to secure the number 2 seed and a bye in the NFC playoffs slip through their fingers. They did. Losing to Minnesota 37...

Tony Romo Throws Three Picks, Dallas Fans Are Not Happy (Video)

It's pretty easy to blame all your football teams faults on your quarterback and get away with it.  This time around it was true though.  Tony Romo is absolutely pathetic under pressure.  The guy proves it year after year.  Yes, he's a risk taker like Brett Favre, but he doesn't have any of the upside that Favre did.  Just need to let the man go.  Heard he was...

PJD's Game 16 Recap: A Game for the History Books

A Game for the History Books: They actually did it. A team that was predicted to finish by most experts at a paltry 3-13 again pulled off the ridiculous and ended up 10-6. They had some poor games along the way (Tampa Bay loss? Should've won that damn Colts game), but they also notched some impressive wins along the road that could have told us all this was inevitable. Wins...
