After struggling in their lone road game, there is some concern with how the Baltimore Ravens' no-huddle offense will perform Sunday at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium, historically one of the league's loudest venues. Although the noise can be deafening, the fans there haven't had much to cheer about. Coming back from a well-deserved break, the rejuvenated Ravens try to again make things difficult for Matt Cassel, whose turnovers have been one of the biggest reasons for the Chiefs' slow start. Baltimore (3-1) has been off since beating Cleveland 23-16 last Thursday, its fourth game in 18 days. The veteran defense, led by 37-year-old Ray Lewis, admitted being a bit winded at the end of the game as the Browns' last-ditch pass attempt from the Ravens' 18-yard line fell incomplete. "I know a lot of guys out there were fighting fatigue," safety Ed Reed said. Coach John Harbaugh gave his team last weekend off to rest and get healthy before beginn...

Kansas City Chiefs players reportedly losing confidence in Matt Cassel

Matt Cassel is under fire right now in Kansas City. After four sub par seasons at best, it seems that Chiefs faithful and his teammates have grown tired of the act. According to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the only supporter Cassel has left in the organization is head coach Romeo Crennel. Sources say if the Chiefs had a better option at backup than Brady Quinn, Cassel would have...

Matt Cassel is the WORST Starting QB in the NFL

The Chiefs must move on from Matt Cassel FAST.This may sound a bit harsh, considering the Chiefs as a team and organization all stink right now, but Matt Cassel is the main reason the Chiefs are a losing franchise. I say that with some reservations, not because of any doubt that it's true...

Fans getting restless over Cassel's slow start

"I'm not the type of player that looks over his shoulder," Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel said this week. In Kansas City and among Chiefs fans everywhere, he doesn't have to look over his shoulder to know they are angry and demanding his job. He can hear that, even if he doesn't watch TV or listen to sports talk radio. The 2012 season was the year where...

Chiefs stick with Cassel at quarterback

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Romeo Crennel stepped to the podium in the auditorium beneath Arrowhead Stadium after another embarrassing loss and announced that Matt Cassel will remain the Chiefs' starting quarterback. Chiefs have most the pieces, can’t put the puzzle together

Like a classic jigsaw puzzle, the Kansas City Chiefs have many of the pieces to make a Superbowl run. But also like every jigsaw puzzle, if you are missing, even one piece, you cannot complete the puzzle. You can’t compensate for the lack of a missing piece, and you can’t force a piece in if it doesn’t fit.The Chiefs have a lot of the puzzle pieces nicely put together.Consider...

Crennel offers tepid support of Cassel

When the head coach walks into his post-game press conference and brings the subject up, then it's obviously a story line coming out of the Chiefs 37-20 loss to San Diego. "I know that there will be some questions about the quarterback," Romeo Crennel said a few minutes into his comments to the media afterwards. "I am staying with (Matt Cassel) and I stayed with...

Chiefs considering Brady Quinn to replace Matt Cassel

The Kansas City Chiefs are quickly losing confidence in quarterback Matt Cassel. Signs are pointing to Brady Quinn receiving more snaps with the first team this week. Thus far Cassel has completed...

If Chiefs fans want to see an ‘inept’ player ‘constantly making poor decisions,’ Romeo Crennel should yank Matt Cassel and insert Brady Quinn

Although Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel reiterated that Matt Cassel will be under center against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, it is evident that former University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish star Brady … Continue reading →

Chiefs Fans Want To Have An ‘Arrowhead Spring’

Chiefs fans are fed up with the team’s continued tolerance of the suckiness of quarterback Matt Cassel and general manager Scott Pioli. This is completely understandably, save for the fact that deposing Cassel will only likely lead to playing time for Brady Quinn and that isn’t good for anybody. But the general idea of getting rid of Cassel is a sound one. Kansas City’s fan...
