The Super Bowl is here with the Ravens and 49ers facing off.  There are a lot of story lines in the game with the Harbaugh brothers facing off, Ray Lewis' last game and Colin Kaepernick's offensive gameplay.  The NFL is loving all this press.  Here's a last look at the game. These two teams are built with similar styles.  Both want to run the ball and play great defense.  The biggest difference is what they ask out of their quarterbacks.   The 49ers have a young quarterback in Kaepernick that's running the newest, most exciting offense in the league.  It's the zone read, pistol, option or whatever you want to call it.  The bottom line is that the QB is taking the option to handoff to the running back or carry the ball himself based on a last second read of the defense.  This offense has been growing in the league the last two years but exploded this season as the Redskins, Seahawks, 49ers and Panthers really took it to another level.  Now we find o...

Colin Kaepernick Blames Himself For 49ers’ Super Bowl Loss

Last night during Super Bowl 47, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked young and showed his first signs of being a little rattled during a game. Kaepernick still had an awesome game with 302 yards passing and 62 rushing yards.  After the game in a move that displays class, maturity, and leadership, Kaepernick put it all on him, and told CSNBay Area that he made to many mistakes...

Colin Kaepernick will get free Red Robin for life if he wins Super Bowl

After a rather peculiar offer, if Colin Kaepernick wins the Super Bowl on Sunday, he will receive free Red Robin for the rest of his life (Credit: AP Photo) For some, the best part of the week prior to the Super Bowl is all of the questions players are asked by the media. Last week, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was asked by a financial adviser from New York where...

Vernon Davis Almost Broke The Lombardi Trophy

You know those clips that feature football players acting tough or intimating?  Well, the filming of one of those segments almost went horribly wrong for San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis.  Davis was screaming “nobody” and waving his hands when he almost knocked over the Vince Lombardi Trophy.  Davis showed off his great hands but saving the spinning trophy before...

Delanie Walker destroyed Jacoby Jones with hit

San Francisco 49ers tight end Delanie Walker had a very good game, particularly with his blocking and tackling on special teams.  After Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones opened the second half with a kick returner, Walker made sure that wasn’t going to happen again.  He absolutely leveled Jones on this return to keep him from making a big play.Related: Cary Williams...

Super Bowl Gameplan: 49ers Offense

Before trying to establish their ground game, the 49ers will face the key issue of how to deal with an excitable young quarterback guiding their offense. Colin Kaepernick is hoping to become the third player to win a Super Bowl in his second season in the NFL after Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger did so in Super Bowls 36 and 40. Their teams took different approaches in each game...

Super Bowl 47 – Ravens vs. 49ers Pick Against the Spread

BALTIMORE RAVENS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-3.5) The Super Bowl is finally here. I’m just thrilled to not have to watch the Patriots, Giants, or Steelers (all the teams that I cannot stand) again who seemed to have played in 8 of the last 10 Super Bowls collectively. This year I have two teams that I would want to see win the Super Bowl. That hasn’t happened since the Saints faced...
