We reported a couple of days ago that free agent linebacker James Harrison has been in contact with the Baltimore Ravens.  Well it looks like both sides are still talking. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens and Harrison are still in touch and are scheduled to talk again on Saturday.  Both sides haven’t talked about a contract yet, but the interest is mutual. “I’ve talked to Ozzie and we’re going to talk again Saturday,” said Bill Parise, Harrison’s agent. “Their timeline is a little slower at this point, but Ozzie’s going to have to sign at least a couple of linebackers. I know where we stand. He’s made it clear that there’s interest from the Ravens, and we have an interest. We would like that very much for James to wind up with great organization like the Ravens. So, we’ll wait and see where it goes.” I know Steelers’ fans would just love to see Harrison in a Ravens uniform.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.c

Baltimore Ravens: Ed Reed to Return?

For the past two days, it appeared that long time Ravens icon and future hall of famer Ed Reed was ready to join the mass exodus of free agents to leave Baltimore. But after receiving a contract offer from the Houston Texans after a lengthy visit, rumor has it that he is returning to Ozzie Newsome to see if his only employer at this level in his career will help him to retire as...

Steelers should consider adding Ed Reed

Historically the Rooney family does not target the free agent market heavily. When they do, it is generally free agents which are picked to fill specific roles at a cheap price. Do not expect this off season to be much different considering Pittsburgh’s salary cap issues. While releasing James Harrison and others helps, they are still hindered and can’t go after quality free...
