The busy day continued into the evening for the Ravens.
The team announced that they have signed wide receiver/return specialist Jacoby Jones to a two-year contract. Jones had previously been released by the Houston Texans. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jones’ deal is worth $7 million.
Strong safety Bernard Pollard, a hard-hitting member of the secondary, was heading into the last year of his contract. That’s not happening anymore.
In the same release, the Ravens announced Pollard signed a three-year extension.
Changing topics, the Ravens released a statement on Terrell Suggs who had surgery Tuesday:
“Terrell (Suggs) had a successful surgical procedure done on his Achilles tendon this afternoon by Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte, (N.C.). After some recovery time, ‘Sizzle’ will begin the process of rehabbing the area. We know he will work hard to get back on the field with his teammates as soon as the doctors and trainers allow. We’re confident that he can make a full recovery.”
