Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles went the wrong way on a read-option that left quarterback Alex Smith empty handed on a play action but Smith tucked the ball and dashed 5 yards for a touchdown just before halftime that gave the Chiefs the lead for good in their 17-16 win over Houston on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Alex Smith is extra tricky today! With one minute left in the 2nd quarter, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith faked a hand off to NO ONE and then proceeded to scramble for 5-yards and a touchdown. I am not sure if Smith just missed the running back or planned to fake the hand off like that.
Either way, the Chiefs scored and went on to take 14-10 lead into half-time.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- By late Sunday night, after the Colts had put away the Broncos, the Chiefs became the lone unbeaten team left in the NFL.
But Chiefs coach Andy Reid didn't exactly race home from Arrowhead Stadium to watch what had been the NFL's other unbeaten team, the Broncos, fall to 6-1.
"I only saw a bit of it," Reid said Monday. "By the time we...

The Kansas City Chiefs remained perfect after surviving a scare at Arrowhead Stadium. It came right down to the wire, but the Chiefs narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 17-16. There were many times where the defense looked as if they finally were going to give up a big game to an opponent...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) It's hard to find anybody in the Kansas City Chiefs' locker room willing to think back to last season. Those memories have been purged for weeks, if not months.
Kendrick Lewis remembers, though. The starting free safety remembers vividly what it was like to win just two games and finish with the worst record in franchise history. He still recalls what...
There's a good argument to be had over what's been more valuable to the Kansas City Chiefs' perfect start, running back Jamaal Charles or their stingy defense.
The truth is it's taken both of them to pile up the wins.
Charles joined some exclusive company with 123 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on Sunday, while the Chiefs' defense forced a turnover in...

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 7-0 with a 17-16 win over Houston.
In the Super Bowl era, 31 teams have started 7-0 and all 31 qualified for the playoffs. Fifteen of those 31 clubs advanced to the Super Bowl and nine won the Super Bowl.
After seven weeks of the regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL. At 7-0, they are garnering enough respect but still most NFL experts believe it’s a mirage of some kind. But we don’t think so.
Oh yeah, you big fat pig.
Where was this emotion when you were coaching the Eagles? What happened to the guy who would just sit there, clear his throat, and blame yourself for everything.

The Houston Texans, for all their other issues, have an exceptional defense. They've got a strong defensive line, solid linebackers, some good players in the secondary... Basically the total package. The Chiefs offense, on the other hand, has been uneven this season (I'm being generous with my wording). In Week 6, against the Raiders, our offense failed time and again to get...
